All I can say is Amazing!!! I have had a problem in the past finding anyone to understand how I wanted my hair to be cut and styled. But after stepping into the J. Gilman Salon and being treated great by everyone in there, plus having Justin understand and listen to what I was looking for. I have finally found the one person that will forever cut my hair. We just moved to Kansas from California. Finding a stylist we could trust has been very difficult until we came across J. Gilman Salon! My daughter and I had our hair done by Justin and Nikki and we couldn’t be any happier with the outcome. Nikki did a beautiful job bringing my daughters hair to a deep red wine color and Justin completely transformed my hair with blonde highlights. We are obsessed and highly recommend not only these stylist but the salon as a whole. Atmosphere is beautiful and all the stylist seem super friendly. We FINALLY found our permanent salon.

I visited Justin and his team and I could not say anything but AMAZING things about the staff, environment, & of course final product I hadn’t had my hair done in over a year and a half due to pregnancy and all things postpartum. Justin not only transformed my hair, but he also helped me regain my confidence with it and actually made me want to style it again! Thank you so much and I can’t wait to go back for my touch up and eyelash extensions!

(Read till the end) I found my stylist through FB. She posted her work in a group I’m in so I did my research and she seemed like the person to go to for what I was wanting (icy/ashy blonde with a shadow root) I know that the level of blonde I was asking for usually can’t be done in one session but I figured I could get pretty close because I’ve never had a problem with my hair lifting. I also went for a hair cut. I spent 7 hours there and thought it was going to turn out amazing. When she was done, it looked pretty good, I knew the blonde would tone down a little in a couple days because the cuticle was open so it looks much brighter at first. After my appointment I went home, threw my hair up in a ponytail and started dinner for my family, got the kids to bed, etc. didn’t think twice about anything. The next day, my hair didn’t feel super great, probably because of all the dry shampoo that was sprayed in my hair so later that night, I went and took a shower and used my purple shampoo and conditioner to make sure the blonde stayed bright and icy. Once it dried, I was in disbelief. I double checked that I used the correct shampoo and everything because once I looked in the mirror, I saw huge, random patches of yellow everywhere, it almost didn’t even look like a shadow root was done, and my hair cut was way shorter than what I asked for and it looked choppy. I sent my pictures to others to ask what they saw and they agreed with me and saw the same things I did. So, I got up the courage to email the owner, Justin and he was extremely helpful. He offered the stylist to fix it and talked with her about what needed to be done so I called to schedule to get it fixed and I’m so glad so did because now it looks amazing!! The stylist was probably just having an off day like we all do sometimes and I don’t fault her at all. I knew she had the ability to give me what I asked for because I had seen lots of pictures of all her other work. So after spending a total of 12 hours between both appointments, I love my hair. If my hair looked like what it does now, after my first appointment, I would have given 5 stars for sure. But I am so thankful that the owner offered to have her fix it because now, it’s exactly what I was looking for.
