Today (July 1, 2022) I received services from Innovation Dominican Salon. I selected this salon based on a recommendation from a family friend. Services rendered: shampoo, deep conditioner, blow out and style. I haven’t had a blow in YEARS (like 15+ years) and with today’s end result, I am trying to figure out WHY?? LOL! Although my appointment was a little delayed (47 minutes to be exact), it was worth the wait and the value. The salon was clean and inviting. The owner’s daughter (sorry, I didn’t ask her name!) described the products being used during the shampoo and conditioning process. The owner, Rosa, did the same as well during the blow out and styling process. My 4C hair has NEVER been this straight without chemical processing! Kudos to Rosa and her daughter for the exceptional service!!

My first time there in June was beyond amazing, Rosa was so extremely nice, my charge for everything including wash, blow out and curl was $75. Today went in for the same thing and it was $100, it went up $15 because I added the trim not a whole $25. This place is wonderful but in order to keep customers like myself I recommend keeping prices the same across the board.

I spent $90 on services for a blow out ($60) with a trim ($15) and deep conditioning ($15). I tipped for the services and trust me when I tell you I could have done it at home. It was a complete waste of money. My hair was flat (which was poorly curled) within 2 hours. I’ve been waiting for the past 8 months to get a blow out because I don’t like putting heat to my natural hair. I used to get them often, but I will never go here again.

I brought my daughter to this salon for a blow out. My daughter hair is very long she is 9 years old. She is tender headed I’m aware of this and I appreciated the light skinned woman with the bang wig for being patient with us and was planning to leave her a big tip. However, when it came time for me to pay for the services this woman tried to charge me $200 for doing my daughter hair. She said the Blowout was gonna be $140 more than double because her hair was long and she cried, $20 for deep conditioner, $15 for cut and another $20 because she says her hair was tangly???? Never have I ever heard of these prices or that a salon can charge u for having to do there job even though it was a little harder???? This is your job to do hair u can not charge people for there hair hurting while u do it and crying. This place is a scam they also change there prices constantly and if u tell them u haven’t been there before then they will upcharge u for services. In the end I refused to pay that ridiculous $200 for a child hair and made her take it down to $140 I didn’t want to pay that either because that was also a scam but I wanted peace and to leave out of there. Do not use this salon they are a complete Scam!

Critical: Professionalism, ValueAbsolutely horrendous service. I was excited to visit this salon with my daughter based on previous reviews, but unfortunately my experience was regrettable. I found the employees to rude and unprofessional. The only pleasant personnel was the actual stylist. My appointment was at 9am. We arrived at the salon 15 minutes early but did not leave until nearly 1pm. Clearly a classic case of overbooking. And with only one stylist working, this was quite infuriating. Additionally, $100 for a wash, blow out and press seems to be a bit much. Especially, since it was necessary for me to touch up my daughter’s hair because it had already started to frizz after only 8 hours. What’s the point of paying a salon $100 if I’m going to have to play stylist after a few hours? Lastly, the current salon pictures are grossly misleading in representing the current state of the salon. But for the fact that this visit was promised to my daughter for her birthday, I would have left mid service. Personally, I will never return to this particular salon. Very clean and decorated lovely. Prices are a la carte. I have natural hair just past my shoulder and I paid around $90 for wash, deep conditioner, hair trim, blow out and pin curl. $60 when I went with my hair wet for blow out and pin curl. The stylist is nice however I have not seen anyone else there besides her last time there was a bit of a wait before and after me with the one stylist. My blow out lasted just about 3 weeks even with going to the gym after that it was back to its natural form NO sign of them using a relaxer during the washing process a huge concern for many who visit other dominican salons.

Completely overpriced! I will never return here again! I paid $60 for a deep condition and it was RUSHED! The daughter has a nasty attitude and she completely ruined my experience. I ended up paying $200 for something I could’ve did at home. The style only lasted for 1 day and it was a complete waste of money! I will be disputing the charge! Please do not waste your time coming to this overpriced salon!
