I would absolutely give 0/0 stars, if that were an option. The salon owner is extremely unkind, untimely, and unwelcoming. This salon is not for clients with naturally curly or textured hair and I had an awful experience. Women, particularly women of color, there are many other salons in Brooklyn who will value you and your hair, as well as your time and money.

Critical: Quality, ValueLeft super unhappy. Stylist refused to trim and style hair because appointment was booked on StyleSeat as only a Silk Press. I let the stylist know I didn’t mind paying extra to be happy, instead she refused and I left with super frizzy dry hair.Definitely not worth the price you pay.Service: HairstylingLeft super unhappy. I never write reviews, however I have become so annoyed & disgusted w/black owned salons. I think I speak for most when I say us brown sisters wish to maintain our healthy natural hair at a reasonable cost. I followed the salon’s work on “IG” and reviewed the prices on line. All seemed reasonable & good for my natural hair, that sits at neck length yet very thin/fine, so I decided to travel from another state to obtain the salon’s services. I received a wash & what appears to be a “ligth trim” ( salon talk a 50 min job). My end cost was $135 & I tipped $10. I wonder if the thicker headed women in to have the same process was charged the same???!!! In addition, Upon arrival I expressed my need to find a “green thumb” hair stylist. There was no suggests for my future hair care growth. Yet there was a comment on my oily skin. The salon is stylish and fairly friendly that is all …

So i’ve gotten my hair done 3 times by Darlene. AMAZING job she did. I attempted to set an appointment again only this time I had to go through styleseat. after setting your appointment they let you know you have to cancel before 24 hours of your appoint or you’ll be charged a 25% cancellation fee (anytime within 24 hours), or 50% no show charge. I called the salon 24 hours before my appt to cancel. I thought everything was ok until I received a text from styleseat the day of the appt. Thankfully I called the salon back to see why I was still being notified of an appt that I had already canceled. The receptionist clearly was unaware that I canceled and put Darlene on the phone. She ten goes to tell me I have to cancel via styleseat not through the salon. I asked her why didn’t the receptionist tell me that when I initially tried to cancel. she says sternly, “she didn’t know”. I asked if all the appts are made via styleseat, she says yes. So how is it that your employees don’t know to tell customers to cancel on styleseat not through the salon. So unprofessional, and I’m never coming back.

These people were so rude! I stopped in to ask for assistance with a new lace front wig as I am just getting into wearing them to have more variety in my look. “Why do you want to wear wigs? Why don’t you want to cut your hair? Where did you purchase your wig? Why did you shave the sides of your head? ” Then the desk attendant went on to say they were “too booked” to custom fit the wig for me. It was a ghost town in there, just say you don’t want my business.

This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have ever had in a hair salon. I was highly annoyed I wasted my time coming all the way from New Rochelle thinking I was coming to some high level professional salon. What a joke that turned out to be! I was confused as to how such hood rat professionalismcoild even be considered acceptable. End up Canceling the service and walking out because of the level of professionalism was so damn disgusting!

They are a little pricey but they are well worth every penny. Ms. Darlene is very nice and they all do great work on your hair. You are truly paying for quality.
