Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityThis is my second time at Hot Nails ! And best believe I have found the nail shop I will use always ! I had a appointment at 11 am they took me 15 minutes early ! The customer service was amazing – the man who did my full set of nails was funny joked w me , asked me questions made sure I was comfy and I had what I needed ! He communicated well ! This is my second time at Hot Nails ! And best believe I have found the nail shop I will use always ! I had a appointment at 11 am they took me 15 minutes early ! The customer service was amazing – the man who did my full set of nails was funny joked w me , asked me questions made sure I was comfy and I had what I needed ! He communicated well ! Critical: ProfessionalismI called ahead to see if they could fit in me and my friend. I was told to come in and they would make it work. My friend went first and then the guy started working on taking off my gel polish. He did not like the polish used and said it was difficult to get off. We had been in before for pedicure and liked the friendliness and decided to go back for nails. This time he was rude and seemed mad. A lady without an appointment came in after us and was given a spot and then a lady came in with an appointment. Once the lady with the appointment came in the guy got even more rude with me. He kept telling me that it was necessary to have an appointment and when I told he I had called ahead he said his wife had been very nice to give us a spot. My friend didn’t have any issues with her person and the lady who came in without appointment also didn’t have any issues. I called ahead to see if they could fit in me and my friend. I was told to come in and they would make it work. My friend went first and then the guy started working on taking off my gel polish. I have been going to Hot Nails since June of this year and I am beyond happy with my experiences. Ben and Lynn are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Very friendly and professional. I always get pink and white Lynn is the best! Prices are some of the lowest I’ve seen in Kalamazoo and Portage. I won’t go anywhere else to get my nails and toes done.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went in with my daughter. I told them what I wanted and they wanted to charge me for everything at an addition cost. I wanted a full set and they wanted to charge to keep them long. She said if you keep them long it’s going to be over $60.00. They wanted to charge me $10.00 to trim my nails. For me to keep my nails long an extra $10.00? To make them coffin extra cost. She said we don’t do that here. She wanted to make my nails super short. I don’t want short nails. They are rude and unprofessional. I usually go to triangle nails but I just wanted to try a new place. She said everyone charges for length. I said no they don’t she said why don’t you go there. I said okay and gathered my daughter and went to triangle nails. Price at triangle nails 58.00 for long coffin nails. Cost at hot nails 60.00+. I’d rather go to triangle nails. Poor customer service. My nails where uneven and when asked to fix they just looked at me and said they are even. I ended up just asking them to stop and went home to finish them my self! They charging me 80 for unfinished nails and the same price for everyone even though I did not shellac my nails or my feet. Someone in my group was there a week before and got the same job done that she got before and was charged only 65 and this time they charged 90. My nails where uneven and when asked to fix they just looked at me and said they are even. I ended up just asking them to stop and went home to finish them my self! They charging me 80 for unfinished nails and the same price for everyone even though I did not shellac my nails or my feet. Guess we should have made one because nails were rushed, paint job sucked and I looked like I needed another fill after 1 day … my nails don’t grow that fast. Acrylic way to thick. Rushed out and there was only one other person there the 1/2 hour to 45mins we stayed….
