This location is located in the same complex as BJs. They do get very busy during peak hours so try to check in online before your visit to help you save time. My barber was really good and took good amount of time in giving me a good haircut.

I took my 2 children to the North Brunswick location next to BJs. I have been taking them to Great Clips for a while now. I have been to several locations and we have always been more than satisfied with our results. My kids are mixed with thick curly hair. I only mention that because while I was trying to describe the cuts my kids wanted, one of the employees tried to give my 15 yr old to a “stylist” who responded with “I can’t do that hair.” Although I felt offended by the comment, I proceeded to tell the staff that my 11 yr old son needed a shape up and a little off the top. I was told they don’t do shape ups because they are not barbers. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I have been getting shape ups for my son at Great Clips for years. I felt like they didn’t want to cut my kids hair because of their hair texture. We left without getting their hair cut.

This salon had one hairdresser on for a Saturday. I arrived at 9:02 am and there was one person getting a cut. A few minutes later, I had to text my daughter to let her know there was a 2 hour wait even though I was the only one there. She was a few feet from the salon door when I sent the text. Why should a walk-in wait 2 hours because 6 people checked in on an app but were not in the salon? Also, no shampoos are done. You can’t dry cut curly hair…cosmetology school 101. So I left and won’t ever come back. I tried to use the business and would give 0 stars if I could for the review.

I’ve been going to the North Brunswick Great Clips, next to BJs for over 5 years. I checked in online at 10.40am this morning and was informed that there is a 86 min wait. Finally at 12.15pm I got a text saying my turn was up in 15 minutes and that there still maybe a delay. I showed up to the store at 12.40pm. There was only one customer in the store. The lady at the counter was rude and unprofessional. She told me my name was not in the list and that I had not checked in. I showed her the text message and she said that was of no use to her because it did not have my name. She said there was a 116 minute wait and I would have to recheck in. Your check in system is a farce and a joke and I hope someone at corporate looks into it. I hope the employees are taught how to talk to customers with respect. Not going back to this Great Clips again

Had appt at the north bruns location. Visiting fro. Florida and have had haircuts at other great clups. Walked in an the one older woman short blondish hair said “I can’t do THAT hair” I was offended but continued to communicate what we wanted which was one buzz cut and the other was a shape up, leave a little on top. They said they dont do shape ups…. what?!

I checked in using the app. I got a reminder for walk in about 15 mins before time. I went to the store and realized there were couple of people ahead of me. My turn came after 45 minutes from that reminder. I was told app gives only estimate time. Need to improve wait time estimation. After all face the barber who was not in good mood either

This particular location is great. There are only three hairdressers working at the moment, but they are managing well! They communicate very well with their clients and even more so when they have to turn down potential customers because their day is just over booked with check-ins already. To have an overall great experience, download the Great Clips App, set this location as your “Salon location” and check yourself in with it. You can also see in the app, the estimated wait time, which is true. Update: I’ve also learned that the app will not allow you to check-in if the salon is about to close.
