I typically have lengthier curly/wavy hair that requires extra maintenance when styling and I prefer a barber with experience with handling my hair to my liking. David Holguin does that and more.Booking my appointment was easy and efficient using the Booksy app on my phone. Finding Grand Cuts was easy and parking was no problem. I admire the professionalism, care and precaution David took during the current events of the Covid. He asked that I wait in my car and will contact me when his place was properly cleaned and sanitized. Upon entering I was greeted with enthusiasm and asked to sanitize my hands and also asked to temperature check which I had no problem with and you reading shouldn’t either. David guided me to my chair and politely asked if he could take a before and after photo for his portfolio. I did not mind this at all, especially seeing the transformation after the cut. As particular as I am with my hair I did ask David to do what he felt was best looking for me. My preferences were that he keep the sides shorter than the top and keep the top of medium length enough for me to style it effortlessly and use scissors. As David went to work he made tasteful conversation with me that was both engaging and charming enough to pass the time and make my stay feel welcome. Haircut aside the place was nice, clean and the music wasn’t loud. Although I felt like there could be more atmosphere I understood that Grand Cuts is a recently opened business (since the beginning of 2020) and David is a one man show. However, where it lacks in atmosphere it shines with its owner David Holguin. I admire his passion, dedication, service and precision to cut hair. David has been cutting hair locally since highschool, over a decade, and it really shows.
