When I called to make an appointment she was so sweet and was going to try to work me in that day. When I met her in person she was just as sweet! She did a wonderful job on my haircut. She listened to everything I said I wanted done and she made sure I was happy with everything she did before I left… I had a follow up appointment to color my hair and we picked up right where we left off!She is an amazing person inside and out! I was so scared to go to someone new for my hair because my hair lady moved away. When I called to make an appointment she was so sweet and was going to try to work me in that day. When I met her in person she was just as sweet! She did a wonderful job on my haircut. Critical: ProfessionalismI reached out to the salon for a consultation and was met with rude comments and unprofessional attitude. My previous hair colorist retired and I simply sent over the chemicals my previous colorist used to use so that whatever was used in my hair by this salon didn’t make my hair fall out, normally hair colorists will ask what has been used on your hair so they know what kind of canvas they’re working with.The owner seemed confused about what a root breaker was and I tried to explain what I thought it was but I am not a professional at all that’s why I was looking for one. I was told I probably couldn’t afford her services and she didn’t need me to explain anything to her.I was fine with her using whatever chemicals and processes she thought was best but it seemed like her ego was too big and she took offense to me trying to explain what I wanted and what chemicals my hair was previously processed with. I was willing to make a trip up there so she could gather more info on my hair but she kept circling back to I don’t care what your previous professional used or the process I’ll do whatever I feel is best. Again I said that was fine I just wanted to make sure she had my hair history and we were on the same page, just like doctors want to know your medical history before treating you. Big ego and attitude here, I’m happy to say I have gotten a friendly consultation elsewhere where they aren’t rude or defensive about any questions or concerns you may have. I have never encountered a “professional” hair colorist that was this defensive and rude.I said nothing abusive or any foul words. I also have the messages screen shotted and there was nothing inappropriate said by me. Not upset by anything but your attitude. I was willing to drive up for a consultation for as solid price but I understand you need to cover your bases so you don’t look unprofessional.
