Critical: ProfessionalismMy husband walked in for a haircut and they turned him away. The girl informed him that they did not take walk-ins, that they were appointment only. Her name was Aaliyah (spelling?). She was extremely rude to him and there was a comment made about “no reputable salon accepts walk-ins”. He was treated like a second class citizen for simply walking into a salon for a haircut. How does a salon look down on someone for this? My grandfather was a barber for 65 years and this is infuriating. Famous Hair is an economic, low-cost, dubious chain salon just the same as Cost Cutters, Great Clips or Sports Clips – there is no need for them to act like they are some Hollywood studio with an uppity attitude and stylists that have talent beyond all others. To top it all off, there is nothing advertised on their website or in their store advertising that they are appointment only. How is the general public supposed to discern this information? Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityThey are very clean and professional. Only thing is that I was not aware of was the extra $10.00 fee for women who’s hair is longer than your shoulders. My hair looks great and they were awesome!
