This place should be closed “permanently “.. it’s hazardous , dirty , lights went out and had to wait. Several minutes and totally unprofessional. They are absolutely rude to you. They will start your hair then in the middle of doing your hair they will stop and ask for you to pay. One of the girls was starting to get tired of braiding she tried to rush in my hair and my braids were uneven . She refused to fix them . So I never looked back . But if you want good. Quality service I highly recommend Tess braids located on kirkwood highway‼️

Got my hair braided w/extensions – got a $40 “expired” meter txt (still had couple minutes left ) BUT – LUV my hair – the lady caught EVERY strand of my “kitchen” – IYKYK Would surely go back as this was my 1st time here. Braids STILL look brand new!!

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI called Thursday to see if I could set an appointment for senegalese twist I was told by a very rude woman over the phone that I would not be able to set an appointment but to come in sat morning at 7 am because it’s first come first served I arrived at that day and time to find a few ppl waiting to get they’re hair done after almost two hours of sitting in that very cramped unbearable hot salon I was told no one was available to do my style not because they couldn’t find anyone but because I have a lot of hair and they simply did not want to do it i was told the owner was the only one who would do it and she would not be available until the following week !! Remind you I was told this by a worker who was clearly doing the style I requested on another woman !! I have never experienced such laziness at a braiding shop before I would not recommend I should have listened to the reviews!! This place used to be so good now it’s gone downhill!!! After I waited two hours for hair braiders to come trickling in, I was told that because the sides of my hair was so short it would be an extra $20 to braid my hair. Then I was told by the one woman who could braid my hair that she had a all white party to attend to later!!!! Like really??!!!!!. I was able to get it braided by another woman who was very rough and my braids were huge!!!! They began falling out a few weeks later because of the size which I’m not happy about now I have to get them redone after being overcharged!!!!! I’ve never had a bad experience with this place and this is my first time getting braids in years but now I’m not so sure. They have you in there all day, they overcharge, and they are rude!!!! I asked for a certain hairstyle and I did not get it, I left very upset and ripped off!!!!!!!! Don’t bother, go where your business is appreciated.

They do a good job. But they are very unprofessional. This was my first and last time there. It’s dirty inside, small and everyone sitting elbow to elbow. It’s old and ran down inside and hazardous. Stuff everywhere. Just raggedy. The owner is very nasty and got smart to me because I had to get $$ out the ATM. The power even shut off and had to wait several minutes before it came back on.

I would NOT recommend these women to my worst enemy! They were very unprofessional, extremely rude, and the inside of their salon was absolutely disgusting! After requesting payment BEFORE they preformed their services, I requested a receipt to which I was told after my hair was finished I could get a receipt. I demanded a receipt and after fussing with me about how I could wait they finally gave me a receipt. the building itself was infested with roaches crawling around. When I commented about the infestation suddenly my English was no longer understood. A small child getting her hair done spoke of the roaches and was told to hush. Another child who was left to get her hair finished was spoken to so rudely by the woman doing her hair. She was told to stop moving so frequently in a harsh tone one would’ve assumed the stylist was her mother the way she was being spoke to. They did a nice job on my box braids which is the ONLY reason they could receive any stars from me! I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I also feel its inappropriate to speak French when dealing with customers who speak English here in America but maybe that’s just me. I will never return to that shop again and I made that very clear to the unprofessional staff!

The service is horrible. The girl started my hair and then asked me to pay her. I looked at my hair in the mirror and I told the girl this is not how I wanted my hair can you fix it. She said No pay me first. I told her that I will pay her when she fix my hair the way I asked you to. The girl refused to fix my hair and I walked out with less than half of my hair done. I haven’t been back since. I found a great African Hair braiding shop. If you want your hair done nice and great customer service don’t go to Exclusive go to Tess’s Hair Braiding on Kirkwood HWY!

It started off as a bad experience when I asked my stylist to make my box braids a little smaller and I was told that this was as small as they could get. I’ve had box braids much smaller than that my whole entire life. Then the stylist took a break which I thought would take about 10-15 minutes. It turned out to be two hours and I asked when would she be back after an hour and I was told, “You need to wait.” Eventually they said she had gone to work and someone who was in the middle of braiding another person’s hair would finish mine. I decided to take my refund. I was given a run around and lied to more than once, they are inconsiderate and unprofessional.
