Came in asking for just a wash and cut. Brought in a few picture of ideas for the style I wanted to go for, which is a short layered bob. I asked the lady to make the cut a bit longer to begin with as I havent had my hair cut short in quite a few years and I’ll probably have her take more hair off but I wasnt sure how short I wanted to go. She stated that it would be much longer than the pictures I showed her, which is what I was expecting. Usually when I go to other salons the stylists always ask me questions throughout the cut “does it look alright, do you want layers, do you style with product, do you use anything,” etc. The stylist wasnt really speaking much and just cutting away. I proceeded to ask for her to cut my hair an inch shorter and to add some layers, and she kinda gave a look. At some point the lady grabbed some product and put it in my hair and blow dried my hair(which stripped the dyed color I had in my hair) it stuck me as odd because usually I’m asked if I want a blow dry or not and I didnt ask for one. The stylist, Michelle I think she said her name was, I do not recommend her if you’re a particular person who likes a stylist that is willing to take time on your hair especially if you like your hair cut in a specific way. At the end of the cut, I cant say that I’m happy, it wasnt cut the way I wanted and more so because I felt uncomfortable asking for her to do more to my hair. Hopefully someone else doesn’t have the same experience I did.
