I want to give a big shout out of appreciation to Janice Rhea, owner of the salon. Janice is a very talented hair stylist and colorist, a real artist! I just recently moved back to Coronado after being out of the state for several years – I’m so glad to come back to the Domani Salon. Janice got my hair back on track! She does a wonderful job on my color/highlights and my hair looks much healthier than it has for a long time!

Abby saved my hair. She is AMAZING and SO TALENTED! I first contacted her because a previous hair stylist (from a different salon) completely ruined my hair…I asked for platinum blonde hair with a tint of light pink and ended up with a splotchy hot pink mess with uncolored yellow bleached spots…it was bad. I researched and read numerous reviews before finding Abby. Abby took the time to understand. She knew exactly what type of products to use to safely pull the color and even my hair out to my desired taste. Actually, my hair turned out even better than I hoped. She was meticulous and went through every strand of hair down to my roots. Abby is personable and works hard to make sure her clients are happy. This is my favorite color and cut ever! I’m so happy! 🙂

Every time Janice cuts and colors my hair I swear it is the best style I have ever had. And each time it looks a little better. She is so good with color!! I have never received so many compliments. And the proof positive that Janice is really good at what she does is that when I wash and style it myself it looks really good as well. I will never go to anyone else again.

I used to go to Domani for Solene but she left ages ago. The haircut itself was fine but when I called about pricing for an undercut, the woman on the phone kept asking if I wanted a blowout– I said no, and then asked about the price of just cleaning up and reshaping an undercut– she said “about 5 dollars”. They charged me $23 and I paid without a fuss, but it bothered me all night so I called to make sure I heard right. She said “Oh the $5 pricing would be IF you had gotten a blowout too, I can see how you would misunderstand that”. This woman knew her initial phrasing was deceptive. Not going back.

This is a great salon whether you are just visiting or live local. It is small and cozy tucked back in the courtyard of the El Cordova. Super nice stylists who care about their clients. Metered Street parking. Lots of shops and cafes to enjoy before or after.
