I called to make an appointment for my 3yr old twins, it was their first professional cut. I found out I needed cash so I swung by an ATM. I am NOT from Los Banos and only come to town for groceries. I only knew of one ATM and it was down. So when I realized I was going to be late I tried calling but there was no answer. I get there four minutes late and as I walk in I see the available stylist cleaning her station. She looks at me like a teacher looks at a tardy student and told me to have a seat in the waiting area and she took back another customer. Ever waited in a small area with four kids, three of whom are toddlers? They were pretty well behaved and super excited once she said it was their turn 45 minutes later. How to describe what happened next.. It was like getting haircuts from your mom at the end of a busy day. She smiled and laughed but became frustrated and grumpy as hell as well. The first kid did well, but the second one kept looking down. She did not hide her annoyance. I warned ahead of time it was their first cut by a stranger. I said it multiple times. Now aside from her impatience, the place was really cool and calm. I tried to overlook the fact that she did NOT clean up the previous customer’s hair since we had been waiting a while and I was just grateful it was our turn. After the first kid, I asked if she had a card so I knew who to ask for if we returned. She told me I had the number since I called so just save it in my phone. Lol. The cuts themselves weren’t much better than I do myself, which is what I didn’t want. I wanted them to look like cool little dudes for their birthday party with a little messy length on top but short on sides (like most boys today) but we got two little buzz cuts. While there I was just grateful it was done and without any crying. But once I could reflect on it all I was irritated. I imagine if you’re a punctual adult you’ll have a great experience.

Their hours say they open at 8:30 AM, but I’ve waited atleast until 9:15 AM before just giving up and leaving. This happened twice. Also, both times I wasn’t the only one waiting outside for them to open at 8:30 AM.

Been going here for 10 years and I am always satisfied with my haircut and satisfied with the customer service. I wouldn’t go to any other barber shop. All of the Employees are great. Highly recommend this place.

I went there to get a haircut waiting 25 to 30 mins.. two ladies walk in started to talk in Spanish sat down started to get a haircut.. i ask to see the list there names weren’t on the list I GUESS I SHOULD LERN HOW TO SPEAK SPANISH !!!! (Before the pandemic)..disrespectful

IF YOU’RE A MALE AGE 0-100 GO TO PETES BARBER SHOP. Thank me later, seriously. I tried every shop In town and found flaws in EVERY haircut At EVERY shop in Los Banos, swear on everything this is the most honest review I’ve ever shared. Haven’t dreamed of getting my hair cut anywhere else since I found Petes. Doesn’t matter which barber you get either cause I’ve gotten cut by all of of them and they ALL GET DOWN LIKE A MF.
