The first time I went here, I worked with Amy for my mani pedi, and she took her time and did an excellent job. This last time I went in I worked with Andy and I was really disappointed with his work on my manicure and pedicure. Although he was a great conversationalist, his work that I went in for was bad. Overall tho, this place is clean and affordable. Just wish Andy did a better job with my nails. My dad enjoyed his pedicure. Definitely recommend this place!

They did a decent job on my nails but didn’t know what stiletto or coffin shaped nails were! So I ended up with almond shaped nails, which is not what I wanted… But they were put on well, and for that shape of nail, they were done well. I just felt like a nail salon should definitely know the popular styles/shapes of nails as they change over time!?

I have tried several nail salons in San Jose before trying Club Nails. I have been going to Tammy since my first visit. She is polite, professional, and does a great job. I was impressed on how clean the salon is always. All of the staff is friendly.

My wife went for the first time last June for a special occasion. She was recommended that a gel set was better for the nails. The nails were nice and she tipped the woman. When she went back and inquired what the procedure entailed to continue the nail care, the same woman told her that she had to completely remove the gel and reapply. She asked her if she could just fill in the area of the nail where the gel grew out and she said no and proceeded to wrap my nails with foil and a solution. My wife trusted her to tell her the truth and she continued going for approximately 4 more times until she thought it was too much money to pay the price for a full set every time. Today, she was informed by someone who gets her nails done that the Club Nails employee lied to her to get her to pay for full sets every time and that the Club Nails employee should have just filled them. Club Nails employee took advantage of her because it was her first time and she had no reason to not believe her.

Probably one of the cleanest looking nail salons I’ve been too. This visit I came to get a gift certificate and my girlfriend got her eye brows done. Pretty simple transaction other than I was charged $10 extra. When asked what that was the girl that helped me said it was “tip” so I wouldn’t need to tip once my girlfriend finished. I found it very odd that the “tip” was included and I wasn’t notified about it since most of these places ask for cash tips. I also feel $10 tip is excessive for a “$12” eyebrow wax Anyways, I confronted the girl about it after they took my girlfriend and I clarified that the “pre-tip” that was forced upon me was also going towards gift certificate. She said “no but I could add the the tip to the gift certificate.” I agreed to do that just because I didn’t want to deal with having to get a refund and starting the whole process over.
