Opened in 2018, Clifton, New Jersey, became home to the 6th City Image Barber Shop Location. Our team of talented barbers ensures some of the best quality haircuts and customer service in the Northern New Jersey area. In 2009, Jeff Agnello decided to open up the first City Image Barber shop location at 19 years old. With dreams of eventually owning multiple locations, he now runs the largest privately owned barbershop chain in New Jersey, with 10 locations. City Image is also the first and only barbershop in the country to provide its employees with FREE healthcare! Our Mission is to continue to challenge the men’s haircutting Industry by creating an atmosphere where clients feel welcomed, and employees feel inspired.

I moved here recently and left my barber of 10+ years. I’ve always been really particular about my hair and was not looking forward to the task of finding a new barber that worked well with my hair, but a good friend of mine recommended I look into a barber business that his cousin started up in New Jersey and that brought me to City image barber shop in Clifton. I found Luis through instagram and was able to see a lot of his work. I booked an appointment through their app which works very well, and when I arrived in store Luis was very schedule oriented and I was seated as soon as my appointment was scheduled. He did an awesome job! The store is also very clean!

I’ve been taking my son to Jay for a couple of years now . I met Jay when he worked in ridgefield park then he moved to Clifton . It became a little difficult for me to go all the way to Clifton , but to be honest it’s so worth it. Jay gives a 100% and he is very professional when it comes to his job. He makes my son feel comfortable and treats him like family. His quality of work is beyond exceptional. He takes his job very seriously, unlike other barbers he is not the type to gossip while working. That’s hard to come by these days. I am absolutely satisfied with his work he is very skilled. I will never go to any other barber as long as he is around.

I am 74 years old and have had many haircuts before but since City Image opened I have been a regular. Anybody could learn how to cut hair but it takes somebody to treat their client with dignity and respect and take the extra time to do the little things that count and JJ is the best. Overall an ok experience. More than once my scheduled appt time did not align with with barbers last client. I had to wait additional 20 min to get a cut. First cut proved better by “master” barber but the second cut was average. Wasn’t pleased with the fading. It was a rushed job and for the price + generous tip, won’t be coming back.
