I got my locs started here by Mesha (Tamesha). I am extremely impressed and happy with my experience. Not only did she do a beautiful, meticulous job, but she asked if I was tender headed and was gentle the whole time, asking me if it hurt too much multiple times. She was knowledgable about starting and keeping locs healthy and was able to answer all of my questions and educated me quite a bit.

I was in Jacksonville for business from ATL and was looking for a loctician that could recreate a hairstyle I had been wanting for awhile now that seemed like in ATL you either gotta pay close to 200 for, or go to someone’s home who is not capable of cutting locs into hairstyles and questions you on why you would even want that. So lets just say it was a breath of fresh air when I met with Ciara (the owner) for consultation and she referred me to Toni that specializes in specialty haircuts for locs and it was for cut, wash and retwist under 100.00!! Can’t beat that!! Great friendly atmosphere and quick efficiency will have me return again and recommend this salon!! Thanks again!!

Awesome stylist and professional. She’s honest and doesn’t over charge, explain how to keep healthy locs, and did my semi free form (haven’t had my hair twisted in over a year), without blinking. It’s the salon experience without the stuff you hate about salons. I hate getting my hair done but she made it and awesome experience. Happy new customer and will be back. She dyed and style without breaking the bank.

The stylists all do great with the styles and are friendly. Too much cursing sometimes. The look needs to be updated and it could definitely be cleaner. Otherwise, it’s a nice shop with great prices. All about treating the natural hair and keeping it healthy. Again, great with the styles and there’s usually someone to do just about anything you ask for. Definitely would recommend.

I’m not too concerned with this salon not being the most up-to-date and trendy, but I am concerned with the timeliness of the staff. I never expect to wait over 45 minutes to be serviced, but sadly that seems to be a trend in the Jacksonville area. I’ve never walked out of a salon before…I guess I’ll just stick to doing my own retwists. The skill in this shop is amazing and it really bothers me that this is a problem.

I have been getting my hair done by Ciara for the past few years. You will not be disappointed by her and/or her staff. She is kind, caring, funny, and straight to the point no chaser. She believes in healthy hair and only uses little to no chemicals on your hair. Her styles are phenominal; by far, the best that I have seen in Jacksonville. Trust me, your hair will be healthy, grow, and be beautiful all at the same time.
