Positive: Professionalism, QualityNew ownership for a new barber shop in a location that’s cut hair for decades. The new Brazos Barbershop is a cool, relaxing place with mirrors all over. Russell and Matt are two great guys who give amazing haircuts. I totally recommend getting a cut or beard trimming here. The place is nice and clean and and the chairs are amazing to sit in. New ownership for a new barber shop in a location that’s cut hair for decades. The new Brazos Barbershop is a cool, relaxing place with mirrors all over. Russell and Matt are two great guys who give amazing haircuts. I totally recommend getting a cut or beard trimming here. The place is nice and clean and and the chairs are amazing to sit in. If your looking for a great barbershop downtown this is it! I’ve tried several and this is my favorite.

I’ve got a haircut at Brazos Barbershop in April, I believe within a week of them opening, and I couldn’t be happier with it. In fact, I even considered visiting Austin again for the sole purpose of getting a haircut at this place! I’m a woman who got a buzzcut for the first time in my life a year ago. For a couple of months we were cutting my hair short at home, then I started growing my hair out again, and I went to a hair salon in Hawaii to make it look neater. The hair stylist convinced me she could work on the hair that short. Well, she colored me well but it took her ages to trim my hair and honestly, I could see all the same imperfections when she finished. Soon after that, I decided to try a barbershop figuring that barbers specialize in working with short hair. On our trip to Austin, I searched Google Maps for a barbershop nearby with good reviews. I basically walked in without an appointment, and Russell was able to accommodate me. (I guess, slower COVID times and the barbershop being recently opened made it possible!) It was such a great experience!! Russell was courteous, professional and very pleasant to talk to. He listened to my concerns and used his expertise to direct me to the best solution, siding with me when it was possible and explaining why something probably wouldn’t work on my type of hair. He worked so quickly, and you could see the hair changing for the better right away! The result was amazing. I’ve got so many compliments on my hair! and it looked nice for 3 months straight after I’d got the haircut. And yes, I do have high standards so it really was looking good that long! I tried a hair stylist (again) and a barber in Seattle area after that experience in Austin but I wasn’t fully satisfied with either of the haircuts. Brazos Barbershop, keep up the good work!! Better late than never! I’ve got a haircut at Brazos Barbershop in April, I believe within a week of them opening, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
