Best salon ever! Everyone is always so nice! I have been coming here for years because my hair always comes out perfect! I love putting fun colors in my hair. Stephy knows how to do it so it looks professional and not too crazy and too much. She works with my hair and what would look best on me. I completely trust her with my hair. Critical: ValueDo Not Buy Their Groupon!!! It’s a scam and a lie. I do not understand why they even have a Groupon if they’re going to charge u again after your service without disclosing it to you. I’ve never paid 400 for color and a hair cut. It’s ridiculous.Same service at high end salon is 150.00 they charge you almost triple. I was in and out within 45 min and terrible service. They spilled some of the bleach on my clothing and it went through and burned me. The lady literally laughed, she thought I didn’t see her holding it in, in the mirror.Do Not Buy Their Groupon!!! Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityUPDATE: Adjusted to one star, because after all the issues I went through with my last service, including having to wait an entire week to get it fixed, they asked yesterday if I could reschedule my 11:45 appointment to 1pm. I said no, because I have another appointment at 2:30 pm. Then this morning (the day of my appointment) I get a notification text that they rescheduled my appointment to 12:45, after I already made it perfectly clear that I could not reschedule. The lack of customer service and professionalism is astounding.-I have been coming here off and on for years, and I really wish I had better things to say. Jermeela, who has always done my hair, is a wonderful person, but I have just had a few too many bad experiences at this salon.I should have stopped coming here a few years ago when a male employee asked me in no uncertain terms “Why I was white but had black hair? How does that happen?” (but he used an offensive, derogatory term for ethnic textured hair). I only came back because the owner apologized but (somehow) that employee I believe still works there.About 8 weeks ago, I came & got sew in extensions, which I loved. I brought my own hair, and was told that it wasn’t great quality (you can’t trust anyone in hair stores and I admittedly don’t really know what to look for, so I wasn’t surprised) so I should let them purchase it in the future. Ok, that works for me.I had them in for 6 weeks and loved them, but 2 weeks ago I went to get my extensions removed. When I say I had tears in my eyes and thought I would have to get my head shaved. When she took out the extensions, she didn’t fully brush out my hair, (she did one side but not the other?) so when she washed it all the shedded hair tangled and I had matts, I mean MATTS, all over my head. It took so long to comb it out, and caused me so much unnecessary stress. I still don’t know why she didn’t just put some oil in my hair and brush it out dry.Again, why do I keep going back? I guess because I’m a creature of habit and give way too many second and third chances.So finally yesterday I went to get a reinstallation. Everything went smoothly until I saw the hair. I have dark brown hair (a level 4-5 according to Jermeela) and the extensions are black. Not jet black, but clearly a few shades too dark for my hair. Mind you, I have been coming here for years. They bought the hair and should know my hair color by now. The fact is I really shouldn’t have let them put it in my hair and saved us all the trouble. But I did.Not only is the hair embarrassingly too dark, but it is so so thin. I feel like I have a rat tail lol. When I called to express my displeasure, the owner informed me that it’s high quality hair and I still owed them money for the hair with a tone as if I stole it. TBH I didn’t pay too much attention to the bill because I just wanted to get out of there, but when she told me that hair hadn’t been paid for, I assumed Jermeela just didn’t charge me for the hair because they clearly bought the wrong color.I told her I will happily pay for the hair, and I’m sure the hair is high quality, but still it’s too thin, it still doesn’t match, and I just want these extensions removed. She convinced me to let her buy a new bundle in the correct color to add to my hair free of charge, so in an effort to just not walk around looking like a brunette with a black rat tail (lmao) I agreed. Come to find out they can’t get me in for an entire week because they order their hair online and apparently no one is willing to make a trip to the hair store? I was desperate for help and at the point of almost cutting my hair off. I got referred to Stephanie through a family member & she was able to get me in just 1 day after the call. SHE SAVED MY HAIR!!!! Within 2 hours she had gotten the entire knot out! She trimmed & styled my hair to perfection. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. 10/10 would recommend this salon! Extremely friendly, helpful & most importantly experienced! I got braids with extension added & when I took them out my hair was tangled into a HUGE matted knot so bad it was closer to a dread lock than a knot. I was desperate for help and at the point of almost cutting my hair off. I got referred to Stephanie through a family member & she was able to get me in just 1 day after the call. SHE SAVED MY HAIR!!!! Within 2 hours she had gotten the entire knot out! She trimmed & styled my hair to perfection. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. 10/10 would recommend this salon!
