  5.0 – 8 reviews   • Massage therapist

I practice Rolfing, Structural Integration, Visceral Manipulation, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Functional Movement, Scar Work and SourcePoint Therapy. My work is informed by years of personal healing, dance and expressivity, healthy nervous system practices and is trauma sensitive. My approach is to use a listening touch which evokes the body’s innate capacity to heal. My office is downtown, in a large and peaceful setting.

I have been working with Liesje for several years now. The work she facilitates is deep and gentle. If you are serious about getting to the root causes of your troubles. if you are ready to go to the source of it all, then Liesje is who you want to work with. Things that I never thought could change have changed. Healing I thought would never happen..is happening. Liesje is a very special, gifted and intuitive healer.

I went to Liesje for an introductory cranial sacral treatment, and couldn’t be more pleased. She has a deep sensitivity for bodily energies, and works with both intuitive clarity and respect for the body’s own wisdom and healing capability. The work was deeply relaxing, healing, and just luscious.

Taking movement class from Leisje has led to a much more grounded sense of the body and that is helpful daily. One example: As a 76-year-old I am more aware of balance issues than I used to be and so it was worrying to stumble on the stairs recently. It was because of Leisje’s classes that I worked out that placing the full foot firmly on each step, with emphasis on placing the heel down, would give me safe and secure footing. I feel connected with each step and therefore much less likely to trip or have a foot give way under me.

If you are reading this review, contemplating booking a session with Liesje, STOP reading now and book immediately. Between her incredibly precise understanding of how the human body is organized, and what she can do with her hands, Liesje is simply magic!

As a former college athlete I treated my body more like a machine to perform, often only attuning or attending to it in injury or from a deficit perspective (e.g. need to strengthen my left leg, need to increase my max benchpress, etc.). Liesje’s deep knowledge of the body, and the rolfing we did together really gave me a whole new perspective of living in relationship with my body. Seeing, feeling, and experiencing myself in my body more holistically and (un)learning patterns, practices, and habits throughout ranging from attuning to my breath, to rooting my feet to the planet, to feeling a playfulness and buoyancy in my daily bodily activities that I haven’t felt since childhood! Her ability to connect with clients where they are at, and hold space with them through interconnected bodywork that evolves throughout the 10 series is truly remarkable. She has a gift of healing and teaching, so I highly recommend entrusting your body in her expert care!

I had some wonderful responses to our last session in my upper spine and sacral area, and in my lower left leg (broken one) and foot. It felt like they were all reorganizing themselves in relation to each other and the rest of my body. Thank you!
