Acne Treatment
Acne is a disease that does not discriminate between genders or ages. Acne occurs when bacteria in the skin produces plugged pores, resulting in pimples, and deep lumps that can appear on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders, and even the upper arms. While not a life threatening condition, acne can be upsetting and disfiguring and can lead to serious and permanent scarring.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
Hormone replacement does not just mean estrogen and progesterone for menopausal women. It means replacing all hormones: testosterone, DHEA, pregnenolone, cortisol, thyroid, etcetera, in both men and women.Unlike synthetic hormones, intentionally designed to be different so drug companies can patent them, bio-identical hormones are developed in a lab to produce an exact match for the hormone being replaced.The bulk of the studies on BHRT have been conducted in Europe. They confirm that with proper administration such as transdermal estradiol; there is a reduced risk of cardiovascular events, decreased risk of cancer, and a decreased rate of osteoporosis. The studies also confirm the up side of treatment—a noticeable improvement in the quality of life.
Body Contouring, Liposculpture, Liposuction
There are several different methods we use when performing liposuction, including tumescent liposuction and ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL). In all types a tiny incision is made in as inconspicuous a place as possible. A cannula (small tube) is inserted and moved back-and-forth beneath the skin, breaking up the fat layer and suctioning it out. Tumescent liposuction uses fluid injection, which facilitates fat removal, reduces blood loss, provides anesthesia during and after surgery, and helps to reduce the amount of bruising after surgery. UAL liquefies fat with ultrasonic energy and is highly precise.
Botox & Dysport
Dysport treats moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows by reducing specific muscle activity. Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions, which means they can even develop in younger adults. One injection into each of 5 points between and above the eyebrows temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines, leaving the rest of your face to move naturally. In other words, no frozen look, just natural-looking results. You can control your look instead of your look controlling you.
Botox for Sweating
BOTOX® treatment helps control excessive underarm and palm perspiration by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the excessive sweating stops.The underarm treatment is done by our Medical Director, Dr. Monica Gavin, and the palm treatment is done by our double-board certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Benjamin Lam.
Breast Augmentation
Women may elect to undergo breast augmentation for many different medical and aesthetic motivations, including balancing breast size and compensating for reduced breast mass after pregnancy or surgery. The procedure may be combined with others such as a breast lift for more satisfying results.Implants are silicone shells filled with either saline (salt water) or silicone gel (recently approved by the FDA). They are placed behind each breast, underneath either breast tissue or the chest wall muscle. The procedure lasts one to two hours and is typically performed with general anesthesia. After surgery the patient’s bustline may be increased by one or more cup sizes.Breast Augmentation performed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeons Dr. Skalicky and Dr. Lam.
Breast Lift, Mastopexy
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is performed to return youthful shape and lift to breasts that have sagged as a result of weight loss, pregnancy, loss of the skin’s natural elasticity or simply the effects of aging and gravity. The procedure can also reduce areolar size (the dark skin surrounding the nipple), and it can be combined with breast reduction or augmentation for added firmness or volume. It is usually done under general anesthesia, and lasts from one to three hours.

Chemicals Peels
Chemicals peels are a major advance in warding off the ravages of age. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing it to separate and peel off. The newly regenerated skin is usually smoother, tighter and displays a more even-toned. Peels are beneficial for fine lines and minor skin imperfections, and are performed as a single procedure or in a series.
CoolSculpting
Most of us are reluctant to consider having injections or surgery, but when stubborn fat refuses to be shifted by diet or exercise there has been little alternative–until now. An innovative procedure, called CoolSculpting, offers a non-invasive way to reduce fatty tissue.Fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the surrounding tissue. The Harvard scientists who developed CoolSculpting used this fact to find a method of freezing the fat cells so they crystallize and die. The body is then able to metabolize them so that they melt away naturally. The process, which is approved by the FDA, uses no suction, no injections and no surgery. Instead, a gel pack is placed on the area to be treated, and a special machine draws up a fatty area using vacuum pressure. Each area is treated for one hour. In a 4 to 16 week period the fatty area is reduced by 20-25%. Best of all, the effects are permanent.
Dermal Fillers/Restylane
Dermal fillers add volume to the skin. They consist of Hyaluronic acid, a natural compound in the human body. Hyaluronic acid replaces lost volume and adds fullness to the skin. Fillers restore youthful contours to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Lidocaine minimizes the mild discomfort during the procedure.
Eyelid Lift
Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids.It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient’s field of vision. The procedure is usually performed in an office with local anesthesia in as little as 45 minutes. Blepharoplasty can be combined with a facelift or Botox® or Dysport treatments to raise the eyebrows or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow’s feet or dark circles under the eyes.

A facelift can correct many things to improve appearance, including: Sagging in the midface; Deep creases below the lower eyelids; Deep creases along the nose extending to the corner of the mouth Fat that has fallen or is displaced; Loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw that can make even a person of normal weight appear to have a double chin.
Fat Transfer
Fat transfers are becoming increasingly popular for patients who want a more natural and longer-lasting alternative to fillers and body implants.This procedure takes a patient’s own fat (usually from the abdomen, an added bonus!) to add volume to areas around the body such as the breasts and buttocks, and to plump areas of the face. Using your own fat cells reduces the chance of reactions or complications, and the procedure has little to no downtime and minimal pain.
IPL Photofacial
Intense Pulsed LightTM (IPL) skin treatments using the photorejuvenation process represent a breakthrough in age-defying skin care. This new technique treats skin damage non-invasively — there is no disruption of the skin’s epidermal surface. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface to lift and contour the cheek area.
KYBELLA®
The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA®destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Upper Arm Lift
Brachioplasty is surgically recontouring the arms. It tightens loose skin. The Procedure is usually performed under General Anesthesia.Excessive skin is removed, sometimes in conjunction with arm liposuction procedure to remove fat from the arms. For removal of large amounts of skin, an incision is required that runs from near the elbow to the armpit. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward the back), but some scarring may always be visible. More moderate skin removal is sometimes possible with a smaller incision, which is limited to the armpit area, in an effort to make the incision less noticeable.
Vibradermabrasion
Vibradermabrasion is a newer alternative for removing dead tissue. In the past, microdermabrasion machines have used small particles of Aluminum Oxide to “Sandblast” the skin. These machines treat a very small spot making it difficult to evenly treat a large area. They can also cause significant irritation. Vibradermabrasion uses a large surface coated with fixed abrasives. Large areas can be treated evenly with less irritation. Studies have shown that Vibradermabrasion is more effective than microdermabrasion and patients prefer it.

I can’t help but feel that I was ripped off. I paid over $600 for lip injections. It was not my first time getting them at Azani, and I was pleased previously. This time, Restylane Kiss was used- and after just one week, I couldn’t even tell that I had filler applied. Product was not visable AT ALL. It has me questioning if the technician even put real filler in my lips. The product used was a complete waste of my money. And it certainly isn’t cheap. I am extremely hesitant to return to Azani. I shouldn’t have to pay a second time for a service, especially one as costly as this was.

This place is beyond welcoming and friendly. Every staff member always seems so content and relaxed while I’m there and it rubs off! never have I been so relaxed in a medical environment. The office doesn’t even give that intimidating medical vibe. The walls are a tranquilizing minty- sage color and the rooms are very mod and stylish. The entire office is filled with light and unwinding music. Furthermore, you can really observe the care they have for their clients! They are very upfront, honest, and informative. They have extreme knowledge of what they’re talking about and have great techniques. Did I even mention how great their deals are!? I have never been to a place of any kind with the assortment of monthly deals this medical spa offers. If you recommend this place to a friend and they wind up getting something done, you receive $100! I have found myself getting excited to go into the office just because of the warm sociable personalities within all of the workers. Overall, fantastic place and if you choose any other Medical Spa in the area other than this one than that’s your loss. But I am providing you with sincere positive remarks that hopefully persuade you enough to come here so that you can have the pleasure of having the great experience I had! 🙂
