I was searching for a beautician close to my home here in Pell City. I made a request here on Facebook. Followed responses, found Dora at Artistic Hair by Dora. Was lucky enough to get an appointment very quickly. I had requested a razor cut. Dora is excellent with a razor cut. My hair looked beautiful when I left Dora and even now, my hair is so easy to care for. Wash and go is the way I like it. My hair is so easy to care for now. Also, when you leave the salon, you feel as though you have a new friend. Dora is easy to talk with and so very pleasant to meet, you will want to return again and again.

Dora is good at cutting hair. But she has a tendency to do what she thinks would look good when it comes to color. I went and had my hair done and she did a great job on the cut but she did way too much blonde highlights. I went back to her so that she could fix it, she said she would add dark to it but still put way too much blonde in it again. I even showed her pictures and after two tries couldn’t get it fixed. Then I took my daughter and had highlights done in her hair, she is 13 years old. She did A wonderful job the first time, my daughters hair was absolutely beautiful. Beautiful color, wasn’t too heavy, it was perfect. When I took her back for the touch up, she decided to change the color and do it a lot heavier for no reason. Her hair was perfect the first time, color and everything, and for no reason without asking she just decided to change everything. She offered to fix it but I’m scared to do that since she has not been able to fix mine. She even admitted to taking the color off too soon so it turned it an orange color. Just be careful because some hairdressers will actually do what you want them to do but there are a lot of them out there that will do what they think will look best.
