I am not one to pamper myself but figured since I am 8 mths pregnant, why not try my first paid massage? Booking via telephone was easy, the downtown location was convenient and the studio had a great ambiance. Bought a 45-min prenatal massage and it was worth every penny. Nicole was a great masseuse and was patient with my cluelessness! I will be returning in the future.

I’m an athlete (ballet dancer) with a lot of chronic pain due to joint dysfunction. My standards are pretty high when it comes to caring for my body… Sport massages with Tony are the ONLY thing that gives me any sort of relief. I am a different person after I leave his table. His technique is so different than previous LMTs I’ve had in the past, but they are so effective! He always gives me thoughtful feedback about how my body is functioning, and gives me tips to manage my pain when I’m at home. It’s a bit of a drive for me to get to Artmeis, but Tony is worth his weight in gold and I trust him implicitly!

I booked a couples massage on Sunday of last week for today at 5:15 P.M. While booking the massage the receptionist clarified that I only receive a massage from women because it’s in my profile and I’ve gotten multiple massages from Artemis always being the same way. We showed up at the time slot and waited until 5:20 P.M. when two males walked into the room. I then questioned whether he was aware of my preference or not. The receptionist then jumped out and said there was a note attached saying I was willing to overrule my profile preferences.

When my mom came to town last year, I took her to Artemis for an Ashiatsu massage. She returned home and told all of her friends about the beautiful spa in State College where someone walked on her back and worked out all of the aches and pains in her body. Now whenever she comes to visit, she has two requests: 1) to attend Sunday services at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Boalsburg, and 2) to receive another massage at Artemis. She did attend Sunday services at St. John’s much to her delight, and today she enjoyed another fantastic massage at Artemis. Thank you to the staff and masseuses for taking care of my mom and treating her body with respect and good healing energy.

I’ve been getting bodywork done for a long time, and the massage I received from Amy was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Had a terrific massage at Artemis with Zane! I felt very comfortable with him, he listened and checked in with me on the level of pressure several times, which is good because deep pressure is great but may be too much in some places.
