Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve gone here a few times and Kim did my nails beautifully! I referred my friend here and Tricia did her nails because Kim wasn’t available. It took over 2 and a half hours for a fill and to get her toenails painted. Not only was she unprofessional and talking poorly of other nail artists, her nails came out absolutely horrible. Crooked, uneven with globs of acrylic on them with the decal peeling off and her toenails aren’t completely painted with the prior color showing in spots! How embarrassing!! I told her to go back to have them removed but she has no interest in going back ever again. I can’t say that I blame her since I felt bad for referring her there. I’ve gone here a few times and Kim did my nails beautifully! I referred my friend here and Tricia did her nails because Kim wasn’t available. It took over 2 and a half hours for a fill and to get her toenails painted. Not only was she unprofessional and talking poorly of other nail artists, her nails came out absolutely horrible. She is very welcoming and her quality of work is stunning. She can do anything you ask her for and has always been very accommodating to me. I’ve been coming here for manicures with Mikaela for about a year now and she never disappoints! She is very welcoming and her quality of work is stunning. She can do anything you ask her for and has always been very accommodating to me. The environment at American Nail Divas is clean and professional and I would highly recommend you see Mikaela for your nails. I always get compliments after she does my nails!

Critical: QualityI usually only leave reviews for positive experiences I’ve had, but felt that this one deserved to be written about just as a precaution to anyone who uses this salon.I ended up with Tricia, so my point of reference is only with using her.Pros: She was very friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation we had there, and I genuinely felt like she cared about doing a good job. She asked questions during the process to make sure we were on the same page about what I wanted! She not only fixed things that she thought weren’t to her standard, but she also recommended and applied products after I had commented about my nails breaking a lot. As a person, I really liked her.Needs Improvement: Firstly, when she called me over after finishing up with her previous client, she didn’t clean the station between us. She also didn’t prep my nails in any way other than filing them. To elaborate, she didn’t cut hangnails, trim cuticles, and she did not buff my nails (which I will refer back to this later). I will say, missing these steps kept my nails from having that ‘professionally done’ look.Further, I asked for a design that incorporated snowflakes, polka dots, and a snowman. The snowman and snowflake came out really nice, she used a stamping tool for this process! However, I will say the polka dots done by hand were not as great. They were not consistent in size or placement. I also asked for them to be white, and she ended up making them white and black. She had mentioned wanting to try it, and I was willing to see how it looked, but I wished she had asked me after doing the first nail if I liked the design, before going on to do the rest. I won’t entirely blame her for this because I could have also made the comment, as well, that I didn’t love it.After the nails were done, I did notice glue on the sides of my fingers. Which, usually doesn’t happen at the salons I’ve been. Even more so, an hour after I got them done, my entire thumb came off, like the gel and everything, popped right off. I sent her a photo and she did say for me to come back in the salon the next day to rectify this issue.However, (referring back to buffing) because she missed buffing my nails the first time, I knew that my nail would just pop off again the second time. Buffing actually creates friction so that the glue can adhere better to our nails. Same process goes for with getting acrylic nails – that’s why they rough up the surface. It is a critical step.Unfortunately, because this was missed when my nails were getting done, within 72 hours after my visit, 5 more of my nails had popped off.This has genuinely never happened to me, ever. I’ve been getting a gel manicure for years, I’ve visited a number of salons, and while I’ve had my qualms about them all, it has never been about my nails coming off.Overall, again, I really think she was a nice person and there were positive moments. But, I do think perhaps in order to better herself as a professional, she should seek training again.In any field we are in, it is always recommended that we continue to develop our skills. I even do this myself in my own career. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI love this place! Just last year was my first time coming here by chance. I had just moved to the area when I Googled where to get my nails done. From the first call they were all so great. Kim was great to get me in and set up with a nail tech. Fast forward a year, I’ve been seeing Mikaela for my fills and full sets every two weeks. She has such a great personality, she’s attentive, and a perfectionist. If its not perfect she will redo it until it is. She’s always willing to try to do anything I want! I’m extremely rough on my nails due to my job. I’ve had some breaks, but all my nails have stayed perfectly. Mikaela is the best at making them perfect again. This place is so great and welcoming! The best part is showing your nails off to all the other people around getting oos and ahs. Absolutely love this place and wouldn’t go anywhere else.I love this place! I love this place! Just last year was my first time coming here by chance. I had just moved to the area when I Googled where to get my nails done. From the first call they were all so great. Kim was great to get me in and set up with a nail tech. Fast forward a year, I’ve been seeing Mikaela for my fills and full sets every two weeks. Last week was my first time here. I found Mikaela on Instagram and have been looking for a new nail tech. We hit it off immediately, she was more than friendly. Actually, all of the girls that were working were extremely friendly and fun. My visit was very enjoyable and my nails look great!
