After trying to find a salon for weeks, I found Alt Salon and filled out the color consultation form on their website and they called me the next day to set up an appointment! I haven’t colored my hair in over 7 years and wanted something very natural looking. Jaquelyn spent close to 4 hours cutting and coloring my hair and it turned out absolutely gorgeous! I’m not going anywhere else ever again!

If your thinking about cutting your hair here don’t think DO IT the salon manager Jaye is the SWEETEST and I got my hair cut my Selene and she was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all my questions with extreme care. She is truly a master of her craft. I had been TERRIFIED to cut my hair since my stylist moved and even more terrified to jump the gun and get micro bangs. But let me tell you I have never been happier. If you’re going to take a chance and take care of your hair this is the salon to do it.

I phoned ALT Salon late this morning to see if they did hard gel manicures. They said they did (very hard to find here in ABQ as opposed to acrylic) and that if , by chance, their nail tech had an appointment in an hour and a half. I took the appointment and I can’t say how happy I am that I did!

I looked everywhere online to see what prices would range from, I was looking for a haircut and literally just got a trim for such an expensive price. They charge you for an hour for a wash, “haircut”, and blowdry but don’t tell you the price of their hour until after.

I stumbled upon Alt Salon when I lived in Northeast Albuquerque and have been hooked ever since. I was definitely not a person who got their hair done all the time and actually cut and dyed my own hair for years. When I walked into the salon I was greeted by their friendly receptionist and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. I was placed with Paige and she is a color guru! She got my dark black hair to a spectacular shade of purple and magenta. I even brought my friend who had a botch color and style and Diana saved her hair. The owner Jane is incredible and has amazing talented women working for her! By far the best place in Albuquerque to get your hair done.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would! My first time here traveling through. From beginning to end a perfect experience! The salon is beautiful and everyone is amazing here. Now to the best part! I do not have the words to say how wonderful Selena is! I came in with several concerns about my dry scalp and hair. She listens to everything I had to say and completely nailed it! Beautiful hair cut amazing color and my hair scalp feels so good! Selena you are an amazing human and I appreciate you so very much! Brenda is the best!! She does my haircuts perfect and never cuts too much off just my dead ends. She just recently fixed my horribly highlighted hair done somewhere else.
