Ali and Caffy did a great job on my hair. I expected to spend at least 5 hrs in the shop. I was in and out in about 3 hours! I showed them the style that I desired and because of the length of my hair the style had to be a little different. However, I love the way my hair looks. The ladies there are very friendly and kind. Thanks for the great service!

Critical: ProfessionalismI do not recommend this business. My first time wearing braids (pictured below) $220, and $10 for a wash, but, no hot water. Before getting braids my hair was long (pictured below blow-dried). Aliza instructed me to return in two weeks for a touch-up and I did, $160. Aliza then instructed me to return in one week to get all new braids which will cost $260. I went back but instead decided to pay $40 to take out the braids. I reminded Aliza and the person taking out my braids of my hair length and showed her the picture below. My hair was pulled and yanked apart and once the braids were out, I was left to comb out knots myself. When they overheard me on the phone calling several people to comb my hair out, the one who took out my braids sprayed a detangler on my hair saying “Once it sits the tangles will fall out.” I was sitting waiting for my ride and trying to comb through the many knots left in my hair when Aliza’s daughter came over to help. When I arrived home I saw the bald spot and six inches or more of my hair gone. I immediately informed Aliza who laughed when I requested a refund and started speaking in her native tongue to her staff and I heard them laugh. Aliza, denied my hair was cut because she said she informed the braider that my hair is long and not to cut it. Well, it proves her staff does not pay her any attention. I have six inches or more missing and a bald spot I cannot cover up. I had to buy a wig and treatment for my edges. Aliza offeredme $40 back for taking the braids out. I found that insulting and told her to keep it. This is about taking responsibility for cutting my hair and the very visible bald spot I have to live with, (pictured below with hat). Aliza is unreasonable, unprofessional and augmentative. These people only care about money and not the customer. I failed to mention I asked to make the cornrows small enough to conceal my scalp so Aliza sewed the rows together and the thread was visible. How trifling and unprofessional. Aliza is about making money and not about pleasing the customer. The customer is always right but at Aliza African Braids, she is always right. Do not use this company unless you have low expectations.Service: BraidsI do not recommend this business. My first time wearing braids (pictured below) $220, and $10 for a wash, but, no hot water. I am a very satisfied customer. It was difficult for me to find someone to do the style I was looking for. Cornrows and knot braids combined. I called and spoke to Aliza. She was very nice over the phone. She answered all of my questions. All of the ladies in the shop were very friendly and nice. The person who did my hair.( Issa) was excellent. This was my first time getting braids and Issa was very patient, answered all of my questions and involved me in the entire process. She did my hair exactly as I requested. I am definitely coming back again !!!!

Scheduled an appointment for box braids with corn-rolls at the top and hopes high and was completely dissatisfied. The price was overly expensive including the deposit was $220 and that is $120 more than was I usually pay for. Would not recommend this place to anyone. This was a lesson learned and will never pay for service here again. Another customer in the salon hair wasn’t finish and she was still charged full price and told to come back tomorrow.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went in to get my hair braided so that I could put a unit/wig over my braids. I was so OVERJOYED with the way she handled my natural hair. She was careful when detangling and blow drying my hair. That is a big deal for me since I had experienced salons that yanked my hair so hard during the detangling and blow drying process so much so that my scalp hurt even before they started my braids. That was not the case here! She took her time even when working with my thin, fragile edges during the braiding process. There is no need for me to look for any other braiders to care for my hair. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I really appreciate the care you took with my hair. I’ll be back in a month!!! Service: HairstylingI went in to get my hair braided so that I could put a unit/wig over my braids.
