Coolsculpting
Dermabrasion
Our dermatology office in White Bear Lake uses dermabrasion to produce significant improvement in skin tone and texture, wrinkles, scars by “sanding off” the skin. Some benefits include softening of depressed acne scars and improved skin and texture.
Dermal Fillers
Injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid that are used to improve wrinkles and depressed areas in the skin. At Advanced Esthetics, several mid-length to long-lasting dermal fillers are offered. Short-acting fillers, lasting 1-4 months are no longer utilized, as the newer fillers offer the same soft natural look with longer results. Extremely long-lasting or permanent fillers are also not utilized due to the high rate of complications that occur many years later.
Dermaplaning
Dermplaning is also offered in our dermatology office. It is an exfoliation technique to remove dead skin cells and fine hair from the surface of the skin.
Earlobe Repair
An earlobe repair treats elongated or torn earlobes. The earlobe is injected with a local anesthetic to numb the area; a football shaped incision is then made, new skin edges connected and stitched together. If non-dissolvable sutures were used they will need to be removed approximately 10 days later.
Eyebrow/Lash Tinting
Advanced Esthetics offers eyebrow and lash tinting. The tint is used to darken the eyebrows and lashes
Face/Neck Lift

This is a message for older ladies. I’m 73, in decent shape, but of course when I look in the mirror I don’t like the wrinkles, especially around my mouth. I always look like I am frowning. I got a pamphlet from Advanced Dermatology Care (which I went to for removal of a wart, and they did fine) for dermal fillers and decided, why not? I called the White Bear clinic for an appointment in March, and got in for a consultation. They explained the different types of fillers, and I was all in for the one that lasted three years. But I couldn’t get in for the injection until June.

I went to Advanced Dermatology for my annual checkup. Even though it was a two month wait for my appointment, once I had my checkup, everything went great. Dr Ellie and her assistant were wonderful. They listened to my concerns and gave me a through exam. I had some spots froze off and a biopsy done. All was done with No stress. I would give my recommendation of Advanced Dermatology with No problem. Thank you for a stressless appointment.

Had an appt. today at 7:10AM. Doors opened at 7:15AM and was not greeted. She asked me why I was there. Let her know I had a 7:10AM appt. with Lisa. I received a text on Friday confirming the appt. and another text on Saturday with a reminder. Only to find out that Lisa retired and I do not have an appt. at all! I asked her why did I receive the 2 texts, she had no response. I have had this appt. for months. No Call, no letter, no email indicating this was appt. was cancelled or that Lisa retired. The young girl behind the counter was extremely rude, no apology and she did not even try to make an accommodation, it was like taking to a deer in headlights.

I had an urgent issue and I was able to get an appointment for the following day even though I had called late in the day! Everyone I encountered from the Admin who answered the phone to the check-in people to the P.A! My wait time was very short and even though they were all very busy they even made the time to do minor surgery during the same appointment I came in for! I’ve always found Advanced Dermatology Care kind, courteous, and attentive to my needs. I highly recommend them!!

Molly K was my dermatologist- I liked her enthusiasm and her expertise in showing what my “spot” was and given the options of treating the basal cell.One improvement might be to tell the patient what to look for in the treatment option selected- i.e. freezing the spots…….will the color change? will the “bumps go down and when”? Can the process be repeated if the intended results do not occur and last maybe , especially for older patients, a review of the terminology or type of spot(s).
