Ada West Dermatology is an independent full service outpatient dermatology group that is committed to providing comprehensive and complete dermatologic care to patients in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and beyond the Treasure Valley. Our two clinics are staffed by 9 board-certified physicians and 9 certified physician extenders who are very experienced in treating all of your skin problems with the best available medical and surgical modalities including Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatopathology lab services. We also have Idaho’s first and only pediatric dermatologist. Lastly, we also specialize in providing high-quality cosmetic skin treatments.

Brian Friedt, PA-C, is always fantastic, and Mom feels very comfortable with his exam technique, thoroughness, and the way he listens carefully and never makes her feel rushed. He provides easy-to-understand treatment and follow-up protocols. I always feel a little nervous going to any doctor, but Alec and his staff at Ada West Dermatology know exactly how to break the ice. I see Alec Ahmet, PA-C and have had him as my dermatologist for many years even though he never ages. He’s professional, observant, funny, explains things well, and answers all of my questions. He found a precancerous melanoma mole on my back last year and immediately asked about doing a scraping and sent it off to pathology. When he looked under the microscope while I was still in the office, he said it looked like a precancerous mole. The results came back from pathology just as he had thought, precancerous melanoma. After the pathology came back he even asked if I wanted to go back for more of the edges to be taken off “just to make sure he’d gotten it all”. He had already told me he’d scraped around the edges very good just to make sure he had gotten it all. I saw him today and still no sign of the mole regrowth, and certainly no cancer. I appreciate Alec and his entire staff for being kindhearted too. They helped me today when my hearing aids were not working and allowing me to read their lips so we could still communicate because I couldn’t tell what anyone was saying with masks on. They are all very nice people. I trust Alec with my skin and life. Melanoma runs in my family so to have him being extra careful and watching out for every single mole is a blessing to me. I recommend Ada West Dermatology to everyone! Its a relaxed atmosphere and you’ll get treated with dignity and respect every time. They don’t change between visits- one visit being nice, one visit being rude… nope, they are kind every single time I’ve ever been in there. I would give them 10 stars, but since there’s only 5, I give them 5 stars, no question!
