A Private Salon by Dwight

Critical: Punctuality, QualityI went to Dwight in March 2021 for honey colored highlights. When I went to the address his assistant gave me, I quickly found out that this was his private residence and not a salon. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt because we were in the middle of a pandemic. When I scheduled the appointment for 3pm, I let his assistant know I had a hard stop at 6, and I was ensured 3 hours would be plenty of time. I had an appointment for 3pm, and he did not come down to the lobby to get me for my appointment until 350pm. I ended up not being out until after 7pm, and that was only because I told him I had to leave at that exact moment. He still wasn’t done, and I walked out with streaky, inconsistent highlights and in tears with soaking wet hair. I decided to give him a chance to correct the highlights two weeks later and things got even worse. While they weren’t streaky anymore, the color was completely inconsistent. There were patches of honey, reddish, orange, and platinum highlights in my hair. Even without all of that, I came for my appointment at 330pm, wasn’t brought up until after 4pm, and didn’t leave until almost midnight. No apologies, nothing. I think it’s safe to say I’ll never return to Dwight.If you have curly hair and are looking to get any kind of color/highlights, I’d definitely go somewhere else. I love this salon! Dwight has been caring for & styling my hair for 25+ yrs. From curly to bone straight, from darkest brown to honey auburn with blonde highlights, believe me I’ve had the full spectrum. No matter what styles I asked him to do, he always make sure the style fits me…a true talent! In the pic, I was going for the Veronica Lake hairstyle from the ’40’s, but this style is so much better for me.
