I’m usually a generally satisfied, easy-to-please customer, but I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. I got a gel manicure with French tips. That night, not even 6 hours later, the white tips began to come loose and peel off like tape. I didn’t even do any housework or anything to cause it. By the next morning, three of the tips had peeled loose. I went back the next morning and said I wanted them to redo ALL of them because if one hand peeled off, the other would start too. They refused to redo all, offering to only redo the ones which peeled off and put a single coat of clear gel over all of them. Well, later that night, the tips on the OTHER hand began to peel off just as I suspected they would. So, I wasted like $40 for an unsatisfactory gel manicure plus $15 in tips to two technicians, plus two hours of my time making two trips to the salon. I’ve never had a gel manicure peel the same day I got it. If they had done it correctly in the first place, this would not have happened. And if they had handled my redo correctly and with respect to my concerns, I would not be leaving this review. (photos: 1st is the next day, 2nd is same night after they “repaired” them).

I went in for my second time on 3/24/22 it has been roughly 13 days since my first time . The first visit wasn’t bad but I did not get the shape I requested or the length. My first visit I was charged $65 for a medium length full set it was nice work so I wasn’t too upset however I was told after the fact I could’ve gotten special shaped tips that would give me the shape I wanted. My visit today started off cool I got a pedicure and full set simultaneously. I told the guy doing my nails I wanted ombré straight square long he said ok and I also showed him 4 pics . He started to mess up and I told him he said he’ll fix it when he files them afterwards. After my pedicure he still wasn’t done at this point I’m like you are not giving me what I’m asking for . He then starts filing his life away causing my nails to become slanted and coffin shaped . I did not want coffin shape . I was very clear. The nail tips were perfect all he had to do was keep it neat. Then he said $75 . I asked for what ? I paid $65 last time and my nails were longer . They became very rude . I asked to see the price list and it says ombré starts at $45 & up . So what’s the difference for ? Length ? I said my nails were longer last time and I paid less. I’m very disappointed. I will no longer give my money to these arrogant , nonchalant, prejudice , ignorant and unprofessional people at Z nails next to Kohls.

Really enjoyed my visit here ! The front desk was was very nice. The man who did my nails was also really nice and quick and detail oriented. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he was glad to try his best, but he actually did an excellent job! My nails look like the picture and I’m very happy with my nails. Thanks for a great visit.

My experience was great! They not only listen to what I wanted, but executed it. The environment is clean, inviting and the staff was pleasant. I love how thorough the check in and check out process is. Don & Tina @ znail definitely have a new customer!!! I will not be going anywhere else

First visit with them for SNS nails. Nail tech I had (older man) worked very slow and made nails look clunky. Visit took nearly 2 hours without a wait. Pros: they have a good selection of colors. Cons: pricier than other nail salons in the area for the same services. Results were not of best work.I will not return Dip powder

The only person that does good nails here is Don. I was a regular for a few years and would ask to be seen by him. The last few times I was not able to be seen by him and was referred to different nail techs whose work was not good. The last few sets I’ve gone in for have not even remotely turned out to be what I was asked for and I was charged way higher prices than what I would pay at other shops in the area for subpar work. It took two hours and thirty minutes to do shorties with French tips. Throughout the process, I frequently stated that the design was not what I asked for, and was reassured that it would be fixed by the end. Well, we finished and my paint job is messy and chunky. The paint started chipping by the time I got home and my nails are varying shapes and lengths. I will not be returning.

The lady who did my nails today scratched her arm. Her arm was bleeding and she tried to continue doing my feet. I told her it was okay to go handle her wound. She had the nerve to come back with a towel that she was wiping on her arm that was still bleeding and then tried to use it on me. How nasty could you be? Then got mad when I wouldn’t go for it. This place use to be decent for a last minute mani/pedi but that was my last straw.
