He spoke with me before he got started about what I have found I liked or didn’t like about different hair colorings in the past with my old stylist, and he made sure that all of my preferences were addressed with the coloring he did. Nathan was my stylist, and he did an AMAZING job. He spoke with me before he got started about what I have found I liked or didn’t like about different hair colorings in the past with my old stylist, and he made sure that all of my preferences were addressed with the coloring he did. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI came in for a single-process the week before my college graduation. The ends of my hair had been significantly lightened by the sun, and I wanted my hair dyed darker to match my medium-blonde roots. Unfortunately, I left the salon a dark brunette. After initially being told that I would have to wait three weeks for a color correction, I came in two days later only for my stylist to bleach my hair, turning it a brassy orange and giving me a dark brown drop shadow at my roots that I did not ask for. This drop shadow prevented stylists at a different salon from color correcting my hair, forcing them to re-dye my hair dark brown. Because of Zen salon’s incompetence, I’m out close to $600 and three months later am still a dark brunette. Literally worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon in my life. Didn’t start my appointment until 40 minutes after I was scheduled…had to ask the front desk if they forgot about me.
