Critical: ProfessionalismThe lady at the front wanted to charge us before the massage which was weird. Then she wanted us to tip before the massage. I told her that was weird too. Then she said a 20% tip wasn’t enough and that I needed to do 30% so I left and went to another place. If they want more money they should just raise prices.

Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismThe staff did not communicate nor responded to my suggestions of medium pressure. The mechanical high pressure and the gloves resulted in skin bruises. I did not leave a tip and the lady said the boss is in China, that they only were paid the tip hence leaving the tip is a must. Not to mention, the lack of language skills to understand and communicate my request of medium pressure seem to disappear to negotiate the tip. Clever. Yet, I didn’t leave any tip and the lady started badmouthing. She started yelling, spraying the disinfect solution will-nilly on me. Another attendant apologized for this behavior. If it is true that the owner does not pay the workers, it is forced labor and needs to be reported. If the tip is must, it needed to be advertised. If the staff cannot communicate in English, there should be a way to document the specific attention to details.
