Zayd’s can be pricy. Normally I don’t mind but something shouldn’t be expensive. All I wanted was a shampoo. So why did I pray? Simple, we pay for a service and we pay for the persons time. That’s what we all need to remember. The cost of shampoo has increased, so has water, and electricity. We can’t expect to pay 2015 prices. Therefore, before we complain ask, “do I have the time, patience, or skill to do it myself?” If your answer is no like mine was shut up and pay up. Try and negotiate the small things but pay a laborer their just due. Zayd’s is not out to get us. They are not trying to get rich off single service, and no I’m not related to anyone at Zayd’s nor do I personally know anyone associated with Zayd’s. I simply appreciate quality, reliable service

Bianca is great! She’s also very funny. It took us a while to accomplish this hairstyle, but we got it done! I can’t wait until they loosen up a bit … but overall, I’m pleased. This is my second hairdo from her. Both styles are attached. (In the collage, the bottom photo is the style I showed her)

I was a little on edge about going to a new salon, being that it’s NEW to me and my mobility is not what it once was. I also had many questions for my stylist because I am somewhat particular. In other words i didn’t walk in with the highest of expectations. However, to my delightful surprise I was greeted with a smile immediately upon entering the door, and I proceeded to get the red carpet treatment! Everyone was so helpful and accommodating! Not once did I feel like a bother to anyone! And as far as the many questions I had, the stylist answered them all without batting an eye. Great conversational quality! Needless to say I will be going back, and you should too!! Special mention to Kyra & Andrea (I hope I’m not misspelling)!

This was the first time my daughter got her hair done. Jordan was great. A lady named Andrea was so rude. There was no seating and she complained because my child changed seats while we waited for our beautician. I don’t understand how this is a salon that is advertised as a children’s hair salon… but a person (Andrea) works there who seems bothered by children. My children were very well never. Needless to say, I sat on the floor since it bothered her that I moved a chair so I could sit near my 3 year old.

I don’t know where to begin with my review. I had been to Zayd’s once when I got my big chop and had a good experience so I thought I’d give them a try and decided to go for two strand twists using my own hair. I went in for my consultation with Shawna the owner and she was very knowledgeable and gave me her card and told me that I could make my appointment online. I scheduled my appointment for a Friday morning since I was off that day and after my experience, I’m glad that I was off the whole day. My appointment was scheduled for 10 o’clock and I arrived at the salon about half an hour prior to my appointment and when I walked in one of the other stylist greeted me and asked who was my appointment with and I told them Shawna, they had to call her because she wasn’t at the shop but it was early so no big deal. Another lady walked in and she says, I have a 10 o’ clock appointment with Shawna, in my mind I thought okay did she double book us on accident, giving her the benefit of the doubt. Finally my stylist rushes in about 10 minutes after 10, no apologies for running late and she takes the other lady to the back and starts to apply her color to her hair while I’m still sitting in the waiting area. After about maybe 5 to 10 minutes later another stylist takes me to the shampoo bowl to wash and condition my hair, meanwhile the person I originally had the appointment with was with her other 10 o’clock appointment. After getting my hair shampoo’d and conditioned even sitting under the dryer and blown out, I sat in the chair waiting to get my hair trimmed and twisted for another 5 to 10 minutes before she came over and said anything to me or even touched my hair. Once she gave me my trim and started to do twist my hair I thought, finally she’s going to work on my hair so I can get the heck out of here. I wish that was the case while doing my hair she stopped, not once but at least 3 times to finish her first client and one more who had come in during the time I was waiting to be serviced. After all the interruptions my stylist was finally focused on my hair and I was relieved. What disturbed me even more is that while I was getting my hair done, two ladies walked in (mother and daughter). The daughter was natural and her mother obviously wasn’t. Her mother was looking for a former stylist who no longer worked at the salon who had done her hair before. So I’m thinking maybe she was just going to get a shampoo and style but that wasn’t the case before I knew it the woman sat in the chair and the stylist pulls out a bucket of relaxer and slaps it on her head. I was shocked because it appears that this salon will do whatever you want to your hair and that’s fine but don’t say that you are a natural hair salon and specialize in natural hair when you really specialize in all types of hair. Don’t have a problem with it but it comes across a little deceptive. Anyway Shawna finally finishes my hair at wait for it…….3:00pm. Some people may say that’s normal but I beg to differ and have been to another salon got the exact same service and I was done in 2 1/2 hours. Then after she finished and tells me how much my bill is, she says oh I didn’t charge you for your trim, wait what? No thank you, hope to see you again, sorry you had to wait, sorry that I was late but you feel as though giving me a $10 discount would make up for everything else, well it didn’t. I don’t mind paying for good service and good service this was not. will not be returning.
