When braiding, your hair is pulled too tight. Fast workers and style comes out good. I give four stars because in the front of my hair, it looks like I’m missing a braid from hair that was never braided just gel down.

The best braiding experience I’ve had here in Atlanta. Let’s begin with it being a FULL SERVICE salon! Most braid shops say you must arrive with clean detangled hair. However, here you have the option to pay a fee(not pricey) for this service. Everyone was extremely friendly and several stylist will work on your head to prevent spending a day in a salon. Nice salon decor, extremely clean, organized and secure parking. I arrived at 10am and left around 3pm (knotless braids). My hair is neat, straight parts, flawless braids and laid edges. I HIGHLY recommend!

I love this place, no matter what they always fit me in. Also, 1 time there was an issue with who could do my hair so I had to reschedule but let me tell you the owner called me and apologized for the inconvenience and I wasn’t even really upset. The way they do business is professional and courteous. The place is clean, they are prompt and go out of there way to make sure your satisfied. Big plus, they always have the hair in stock.

I will never return to Zara Hair Braiding! The woman who did my hair was very rough. She tangled my hair when washing it and then tried to detangle it from roots to ends. I had to stop her and detangle it myself so that she didn’t pull my hair out. I brought a few of my own products because I have a gluten allergy and many products have wheat protein or aminos, which burn my skin and scalp. She was fine with using them at the shampoo bowl, but was annoyed when I asked to read the bottles of the products she had. She then began applying products without saying anything. I caught her before she sprayed finishing sheen on my hair and she was so annoyed when I asked to check it, which I had to do twice before she gave me the bottle. My hair looks good, but it was not worth the pain and frustration. I seriously hope the damage she did is minimal. Not worth it at all!

SO many great things to say about Zara Hair Braiding. It’s wild that this is the first time I’ve written a review for them because I’ve been going here for WELL over a decade. The most trendy and current braid looks, very consistent work, and overall nice environment. I have referred many people because I literally get nonstop compliments on their work every time I try something new. I’ve gotten custom color blends and styles from them and they nail it every single time. Not to mention, some braid salons can be unforgiving on your edges, but while mine are still snatched, they’re not overly pulled. Makes a world of a difference. Highly recommend this spot for all hair needs. Not only braids are done here. So do yourself a favor and check it out if you’re looking for a new salon.

Booking online was easy but if you need an appointment sooner, call or stop by. While there I noticed many people stopping in for corn rows or braid downs. The main young lady who did my hair was punctual and pleasant, can’t remember her name. She was also a life saver after the 5th hour when I begin to get hungry. Being my first time here I was nervous because only one person had ever braided my hair. Upon arrival you let them know whether you need wash or not and pick your hair. Some ppl brought their own hair. I got what they called medium knotless and was there from 10 until 530. Wanted curly ends originally but was tired by the end, Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. They do take several breaks. Another woman braided the back of my hair and I could tell the difference (parting, moisturizing). I also watched her comb through ppl hair very aggressively. With my previous braider, the same style took 5 hours and it was just her. She usually took only one break. This is not as tight as hers, thankfully as I was able to put my hair up immediately. All in all, it was a good first experience and now I know who to ask for and to communicate clearly what I want and how. I will continue to wash my hair before going so that I can do a good deep condition. I’m happy with the results. Bring a snack, drink, book, and patience.
