Today was my first time ever at the Zano Salons. I had a red touch up and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Alyssa York was my color specialist and did not disappoint. I think this would have to be the best color I’ve ever had done. Alyssa didn’t rush, but got the job done quickly. She got me to the perfect natural red hair. I’m blonde naturally, but everyone thinks I look like a natural red head, she’s that good) PS I hate cutting my hair… but it was time for a trim. I asked for 1/2-3/4 in off, she did exactly that. She educated me on the importance of home care and things I can do at home to keep my hair healthy.

The person who cut my hair was very nice. The salon was old and dirty. Stations had a scratches and the lighting is like a cafeteria. The person who cut my hair asked if I wanted a deep conditioning treatment. Shame on me for not asking how much. I paid $36 for a 5 minute deep condition process. This was my first and last time to this salon. I got a layered bob and i now look 20 years older than I should. It looks like 2 different pieces of hair.

Zano’s is true to its reputation. Jan 2022, I decided I wanted to get full highlights again after 12+ yrs of doing nothing to my hair except the usual care. I went two 2 different highly priced salons under the promise of delivering wonders and I got a huge disappointment. Then my SIL recommended Zano’s, so I thought, ok let’s give it a try, thus December (a year into my quest to get the perfect highlights)! I know 3rd time it’s the charm, it’s a bit cliche but in this case couldn’t have been more true. Not only did Meghan (my stylist) delivered, but what a beautiful work she did! Even my 11-yr old opinionated, son liked it! I will be going again, and again, and worth every penny, not to mention the professionalism! Meghan came in her day off to accommodate my crazy business traveling schedule! I am writing this review to recognize the EXCEPTIONAL service I received from Meghan and the PERFECT job she did!

No exaggeration.The hairstylist working on my hair was not experienced or professional – my hair was chopped in sections and was so uneven I had to get another cut the next day to even it out. Seems like the salon allows even non-hairstylists cut hair so the person who cut my hair just really didn’t know what they were doing. Not to mention the lack of professionalism – the haircut was maybe 10 minutes (no time or care was taken in the cut), but even that was too long. The person was making moves on my while trying to cut my hair. I absolutely love Zanos! Dominique is a true artist! She has been doing my hair for about 6 months now and I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. She is all about hair health and always keeps me informed on how my hair is doing. Being an African American woman it’s very hard to find someone who can deal with my thick curly hair and get it really straight. She does just that! I’m so happy with her and the salon as a whole.
