I’ve been going to Zams ever since I moved to the suburbs, for 6 YEARS! It is a no frills place, not pretty, the ladies are fast, most of the women are from Western Africa and you can hear them speaking French while they work. My braids always look fabulous and I get a lot of compliments.

I made an appointment on Wednesday through text message and asked if I could come in on Tuesday the 23rd at 12:30pm. She replied okay. I get there at 12pm and the door was locked. I waited around and then at 12:30 I shoot a text saying hi I’m here and the door is locked. She told me my appointment was tomorrow meaning Wednesday. I was like no it’s today. She then tells me she can’t come back and could I come back at 4:30pm or tomorrow. I say no. I had to scramble to find someone else to do my hair. I’m so disappointed in this place and they were my favorite. I won’t be back. Inconvenience me and I am through with you.

Hated it! My daughter came from it of town and I got her hair braided at this shop last minute! To women came in complaining their braids falling it after two weeks! Both ladies different times same problem! The women who braided their hair didn’t want to help them but did redo their loose braids only! I heard one last day she was charged 225! I was charged the same amount different style different lengths it was stinking and unsatisfactory there, never again!

I was there today to have my braids touched up. The cost was $100. I was told by one lady that the lady that did my hair before didn’t want to do the touch up because she felt I took down to many braids. The lady with the least amount of experience did my braids. She didn’t trim them or clip the ends and some of the braids are just sloppy.

Pls listen to the lady who warned about them not handling natural hair the right way… i was stupid enough to sit thru box braids and my head is hurting so bad right now. Ive had to take pain medication. They seriously snatched every hair follicle even after i told the lady to ease up on my edges. The place needs to be cleaned up and the women need a lesson on customer service. Plus they charge too much. Only good thing is that they are quick.
