Came here for the first time since it appeared as authentic Chinese massage place. And unlike generational massage skills that you expect from their culture, this place offers a distant replica of the craft. Namely, authentic masters of Chinese massage know how to push and stimulate lymphatic system. The real professional masters begin working along your neck and spine, while triggering deep tissue lymphatic channels and moving in parallel to the spine in circular motions along the ribs on each side of your back. These people do not move this way and with enough power by merely touching the surface. You normally should feel thirsty after real Chinese massage and experience rejuvenation of your body. I did not get even close to that experience here by paying $62 for a full back and foot massage advertised at $58 for 1 hour. Plus, I got a literal demand of extra $10 dollars in tips. I tried to explain in English that I did not really like their massage, and that had they told me about this tip demand upfront, I would not come over to try. But the language barrier was too large, and two women sounded angry in Chinese, pointing on my receipt with blank tip amount space on my receipt. I found 1$ in my wallet but that was not enough, and I got another dollar bill from my pocket. Not enough. They wanted me to sign 8$ tip on the credit card, showing me the leaflet behind the counter with “recommended tip” announced at 20 %. The drama ended when I took the leaflet and attached to the window, telling them that if I had seen this recommendation, I would not have gone to even try their poorly executed Chinese massage. This is how it ended, and they told me in English , “go, go!”

I have been here several times for foot reflexology and chair massages. You really get the full time as advertised which I love, having been to many other places that advertise 60 minutes for a massage but the fine print says something like including 10 mins before and after for dressing. That is not the case here.

Just went here because another chain place canceled my appointment. I seriously needed a massage and called; they had availabilityand good reviews. I Arrived, was put into a private room, masseuse asked when I was ready and began. This was the BEST massage of my life. I extended 10 minute because I just wasn’t ready for it to be over. When finished I left the room and asked my masseuse her name, Tina. I WILL be back, I will be scheduling with Tina Months of stress was worked out and I feel amazing. Thank you!

My wife and I just had an AMAZING massage at Za-Zen. It was my wife’s first time having a massage and she said that the massage therapist working with her was incredible and listened to her. The massage therapist working with me was outstanding — the first part of the massage she did entirely with her feet and knees, kneading into my problem spots, easing out lots of tension.
