Critical: ProfessionalismPoor management, hands down. They do not know how to manage the volume of customers and it is at the expense of other customers already in the salon. The last 2 times I went were terrible.The first time they were so busy they kept pausing in between my gel manicure to tend to calls and other customers, as a result the gel manicure was not done adequately and my nails barely made it one week without them chipping (frustrating since their prices are not cheap!).Second instance finalized my decision to never return. I called the day before to schedule an AM appointment for today. When I walked in they told me I was not in their appointment book and asked me to provide proof that I called by showing them my phone’s call log, which was off putting, unprofessional, and rude. They proceeded to tell me I must wait (longer than my scheduled appointment).There is a complete lack of awareness/respect of their customer’s time and they are not present enough to provide quality service. Poor management, hands down. They do not know how to manage the volume of customers and it is at the expense of other customers already in the salon. The last 2 times I went were terrible.

Critical: ProfessionalismTerrible experience for my daughter!! Horrible professionalism and a rip off. We called ahead of time for a price on a specific service which went up $20 once she was there!! Really??? She was received by eye rolling when she questioned the difference. Then she was taken advantage of when staff asked her if she wanted a massage WITHOUT letting her know there was a charge. She told them yes, as we have gotten a massage at other salons FREE after services had been rendered, and then she was charged. She should have been told there would be a charge, What the heck? They are looking for money and money alone and take advantage of people who don’t know any better. We will never return to Yumi nails in St. James and will deter anyone from doing the same.
