I get magic straight perms once a year. Last year, I went to Kim Sun Young Hair Salon and they absolutely destroyed/fried my hair. My hair looked damaged and the perm seemed to last only a week.

My first time there. I could not have been happier. Very pleasant staff, nice atmosphere, maintaining covid precautions. Great experience! I’m from out of town and the staff were super welcoming. The results were amazing, so much better than expected and the way the employees treat you make you want to come again. Not only the way they treat you is superior but their skills in hair is absolutely great. I encourage more guys to go, because it is a unisex environment. Job well done…..my new go to salon!!!!! I would highly recommend going to this salon!!

Don’t recommend this place. Came in and was told to sit down only for her to prioritize someone who spoke korean that had came in after me… Unfair treatment and i will never ever be recommending my friends or family to this place. Find another korean hair salon because this one will not fit your needs! there are good ones located in Morton Grove and Glenview way better than this place.

The owner/hairdresser is a very professional and cute Korean lady. She asked me how short would I like and if I like layers. I am not very picky about styles but cannot accept ugly. The lady checked with me after the first cut and explained to me that shorter hair should go with less layer. I was happy with how my new haircut look after I haven’t got a professional for 2 years.
