During my first visit, Nikia explained what my hair needed, what products she was using on my hair and how to maintain it at home which I really appreciated. My first visit at Yah’s Black Hair Care was about four months ago. I decided to try this salon after reading all the positive reviews. I am so glad I did. During my first visit, Nikia explained what my hair needed, what products she was using on my hair and how to maintain it at home which I really appreciated. After my second visit, I received so many compliments on my hair. Her professionalism is top notch. I really like that she only sees one client at a time instead of many at typical salons. She saved it from a dry, brittle mess which I thought was just gonna be the Arizona version of my hair.I will add that my hair is noticably healthier after every visit. I get compliments on the style of course, but also the bounce and natural shine. My husband even noticed after my style is rinsed out how my natural curls bounce and shine after her treatments. Positive: QualityNikia is absolutely wonderful. She is attentive to each individual and their hair. She does her best to make sure everyone is comfortable at all times. She also really knows what she is doing when it comes to taking care of and protecting your hair. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a stylist for black haircare.

I never knew my hair could ever be soft, curls defined and manageable. Fortunately, I found out about Yah’s black hair via google. From my first visit alone I saw a difference. I told her I want health over length so she should go ahead and trim away all dead hair. Of course it hurt to see her cut it but I really wanted to be serious about this healthy hair journey. What I love about her is she does not compromise. Every visit comes with deep treatment specialized to your hair needs and then your desired style. I have heard of so many stylist especially in AZ that will skip these crucial steps and just do what the client wants or can afford. Not this one! The deep treatments are included in your style purchase making it affordable and not an ADDITIONAL COST. You read that correctly! It is all included. I have been going to her since August 2020 I believe and now it is November 2020. I used to go every 2 weeks as prescribed by her in order to get my hair to be moisture balanced. As of October I was moisture balanced and now I can go once a month, but I still choose to go every two weeks. That is how much I love her and her services. She is not money hungry so she will tell you based on your hair condition the time frame you should come back and if you are willing to listen, it will be worth it! My hair has already grown back to the length that was cut. I was shocked! My hair has never grown that fast. She told me hair grows! Especially when it is moisturized. I usually wear my hair in its natural state and when I say my hair is soft and easy to comb I mean it! I also love my ends. She gave me great hair tips. My hair is naturally very strong and I used to make the mistake and buy products that had protein in it. And when I would use these products my hair would feel hard or stiff and I just did not understand why. She told me your hair is already so strong , which is a good thing, and its low porous but by using so much protein products, you are making your hair hard and making it more difficult for moisture to enter and with that, it can eventually break off. I went home, threw all those products away, and purchased the ones she recommended. She was right!!! It was little comments like that that made me know she really cares about her clients. In case you are curious, I have low porous 4B very thick hair that is to my mid back. My hair is natural with no color treatments. My hair just looks sooo much healthier. To add, I also purchased her mist spray that I use every other day and I am a believer. It works!!! You will not regret booking her. Lastly, she sees one client at a time. Meaning you get privacy when you go to her. So no matter what condition your hair is in, you will not feel embarrassed by anyone since it will only be you two. She is professional, kind and so helpful. I call her God sent! She also provides hair tips on what you can do.I have attached a picture. You came for the hair so I hid my face LOL. There is no filter and no sun in the pic so this is my hair’s natural shine and my hair is not permed and there are no extensions.
