Definitely the worst shellac/gel manicure I’ve ever gotten. I was trying to kill time during my 9 hour layover, so I treated myself to a manicure at the XpresSpa on concourse to terminals D and E. I even chose the “upgraded” version of the manicure and am still so mad at myself for spending $60 (plus tip) on this horrible manicure. Photos show the manicure after only 3 days and multiple nails are chipped!!!! I also had to ask her to trim a cuticle even though it was included in the more expensive “upgraded” manicure. Maybe the other location at the Charlotte airport has more qualified nail techs?? She was very nice though, but definitely needs more training with gel/shellac. The entire manicure MAYBE lasted 30 minutes.

I had a layover today in Charlotte airport after having spent the last few nights sitting with a very ill relative at a Miami hospital, my back was killing me, neck too, and of course sitting on a plane didn’t help it. I decided to get a 45 minute table massage (fully clothed). My therapist was Makeisha, and let me tell you, she was worth every penny and more.

I got a great full body massage from Tim during a long layover in the airport. He was very professional and gave a great massage at the pressure I needed to work out kinks during my long travels. They also offer a military discount which is nice! The only downside was that some of the workers were speaking loudly right outside of the room door at times which was contradictory to the peaceful atmosphere you want during a massage.

Caroline just gave me the best 30 minute massage I have had in years. I suffer from chronic neck and shoulder pain for which I have seen orthopedic surgeons, soft tissue chiropractors, masseuses, and physical therapists. So I speak from experience when I say that Caroline’s abilities are exceptional. She eliminated several large knots in my shoulders, loosened my neck, and gave me suggestions for further body work that I may seek when I get home. Thank you Caroline!!!

Terminal C in Charlotte: Time and again I’ve stopped in just looking for the basic neck message. Two or three ladies standing around the register who say, “Oh, I don’t do massages; you’ll need to wait about 20 minutes for an opening”. If I’m in an airport I don’t have extra time…why can’t everyone learn simple neck massage so if they are standing around they can make some money. Very frustrating. I’ll wait til I get to the hotel.
