Critical: QualityVery disappointed. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted (first picture attached) and a very small trim since it wasn’t long ago that I’ve gotten a haircut. The second and third picture was the final result of my hair. The price of the hair coloring and a very small trim was $225 (that price does not include the tip).Will not be returning. Very disappointed. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted (first picture attached) and a very small trim since it wasn’t long ago that I’ve gotten a haircut. The second and third picture was the final result of my hair. The price of the hair coloring and a very small trim was $225 (that price does not include the tip).

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueOmg this place is amazing! Especially my hair stylist Tory, She did an amazing job on my hair which were very poorly cut and were looking so damaged and rough because of an experiment that me and my friend did on my hair. But Tory saved the day. She not only fixed that uneven cut but also gave me a glamorous look. I got so many compliments! I am just so happy that i went there.P.S: it was my first time there. I booked an appointment on the same day because i had to go to a wedding on that day. They managed me in despite of being very busy. And i got a new customer 10% discount as well. I’ve been going to Rachael at Wild Roots for over 3 years for hair coloring, cut and styling. So when I was planning my wedding, I didn’t have to think twice about who would style my hair. Rachael did such a great job, and was so patient and calm when I started to stress! She was also always so supportive and encouraging when I needed it! We came up with the best hairstyle for my hair type and features. It wouldn’t have been the same without her! And everyone at the salon is so friendly, encouraging, and does a great job too! I wanted a full color and straighten, I told the lady everything she needed to know that I used box dye , I have dark curly hair everything. It was 20 minutes away from my house and I had to use an Uber which was 40 dollars there and back . I got there and she just sent me home because she wasn’t prepared. Extremely upset because I wasted money .

I am very particular about my hair and since I have curly hair; it is extremely difficult to find anyone who knows how to cut it properly without removing curls. Karlene is phenomenal! Not only is she a great stylist, she has a flare for coloring. Ever since I started going here, about 2 years now, I receive compliments on my hair daily! No, I am not exaggerating. Also, I am an older woman and have not had any problems with their age difference. Many women who go here are 50ish and are obviously pleased with their results because I see them regularly. Kudos!

Always ready to jack money and give the lowest quality of service. Showed Kelly picture of an updo I want to get done and she did a completely different thing! When I asked that I showed you something else she said oh this looks better on you… I didn’t ask what looks better on me. Do what was told and if you don’t know how to make that just tell the customer honestly. Don’t just do the hairstyle you know just because you want to get paid at the end. And not to forget highly overpriced updo! I ended up paying almost $100 that I had to go home and open at the end!!

I can not help but br honest in regards to the stylists we put our trust in as women and men. This salon was recommended to me after moving back here from Florida having spent four years at University. My last stylist and only person I would let touch my hair let alone go near it with a razor has sadly since retired. The girls at Roots are far to young and vastly inexperienced. They seem nervous when you ask a question and afraid to give you an honest opinion when you want to know if a certain style or cut will work or flatter your face, body type, etc. These are all things we look for in a skilled stylist. I have no doubt that one day these girls will flourish but I do not see it happening within the next 2 years and I have quite a lot of experience in the hair dept. So if you are looking for a proper, trendy, age appropriate, and honest skilled stylist in all aspects of hair cutting I suggest doing a little research. Cmon ladies, you know exactly what I mean.
