Had an amazing curly haircut from Erin. I really truly love my haircut and she even had me come back in to see how I style it and gave me a trim at no charge. She gave me tips on how to style my curly hair that has forever changed my outlook on styling and it looks wonderful. I’ll be a lifelong customer of hers. I hate to give a negative review, but I am just so disappointed. We have heard that this is a great salon. My husband scheduled an appointment for a general haircut online. Had a date, time, stylist – even put in his credit card information (required). After about 30 minutes he received a call from the salon – asking a couple of questions. His appointment was cancelled by the salon due to him needing a short hair haircut. This is very disappointing as the website touts degenderizing haircuts, yet they basically did not accept his short hair male status. If they are not accepting short haired clients, they should say that on the website and be clear in their list of offerings. Now they have his credit card info, and he is going to have to go elsewhere.

Moving to a new city is extremely nerve racking especially when it comes to finding a new stylist. I was so fortunate to find Haley as she listened to me and was able to achieve the blonde color I have always wanted without damaging my hair. My hair is now the longest and healthiest it’s been in over a decade and I attribute it all to Haley and her dedication to blonde and healthy hair coloring! Beautiful salon, very clean and bright makes for a very comfortable cheerful atmosphere.

I had an extremely good experience at White House Salon! The building is very unique, modern and clean. Haley did an amazing job cutting and coloring my hair!! She really took her time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and it ended up turning out great! I would 10/10 recommend this salon to anyone and it is my favorite place that I have gone to in Iowa City!

I can’t begin to say how great White House Salon is. I’m a very picky person when it comes to my hair and it was nice to finally go to a salon that started by asking me what my wants and needs were. Wonderful layout and amazing service just added to the great haircut. I also felt completely safe throughout my appointment and it’s clear they’re taking the safety measures necessary to keep others safe.
