I was at the White Buffalo (Hinsdale) location today for an early AM appointment. I arrived to my appointment early (about 15 minutes) hoping to get started sooner since I had something I needed to do shortly after. It seemed they were a bit short staffed and we ran into a check in-issue (I noticed after a “walk-in” was taken ahead of me, despite it being a few minutes past my scheduled appointment).

I got a fade for $30, and it wasn’t even that good. They left more hair at the front than the back even though I asked for it even on the top. It’s alright if they know what you like. White buffalo is pricey but the atmosphere is nice and clean. Well lit and professional-looking.

Arrived they took me 20 min late, they told me they do good fades when they are terrible at it. Asked the lady to not take of any length in the front, and she took off so much hair in the front!! I’m very disappointed and mad…. also they asked me if I wanted to pay tip before hand which seems a little weird if u ask me as u give tip based on your customer gratification! Do not go here if you are expecting a good fade or your own custom haircut.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for two years now, and I’ve had great service and great haircuts. However, today I went for a cheaper option to save some money and going from a $28 to $20 was drastic. My hair dresser didn’t seem to consider my requests and ignored my suggestions during the haircut. If you decide to get a haircut here, I would recommend researching and going for the more expensive option if possible.
