Went in with a pretty shaggy head, all grown out for winter, and asked for two inches off of my hair to adjust for spring. I’ve always liked my hair to be longer, about 3.5-4 inches minimum, and that particular day I had about 5 inches of hair. I asked for 2 inches off, which is shorter than I usually like, but I was prepared for the consequences. Those consequences turned out to be about 3, almost 3 and half inches of hair cut off, far more than I asked for and a horrible trim on the back, giving me a hideous ducktail. Now I look incredibly stupid with far less hair than I usually do and I have to cut my own hair off in the back because paying $25 for someone to do it for me is too much to ask. Really disappointing experience for those not wanting to look like a wacko Patrick Bateman knockoff.

Been going to West Side Barber Shop for a long time. The pandemic has impacted the atmosphere of the place (they only allow one customer in the shop at a time) but the quality of the service has remained high and the cost is still reasonable. Highly recommended.

Critical: ProfessionalismTried to make a beard trim appointment. Was told by the woman who answered that masks are required and they are not trimming beards. I called today because Pritzkers unlawful mask demands begin on the 5th of next month. I already have a large covid beard and need a trim before the next wave of ignorance. She told me that they chose to stop and are imposing there own mask demands. Take this information for what ever you want. Some may applaud there choice. You are free to do so.
