I was in town on business and I needed to look my best. My friend recommended this salon, so gave them a call and scheduled my appointment. Emily nailed the look I was going for! She exceed my expectations. Told my husband I may need to fly to Mass every time I needed my Balayage hombre touched up because my stylist back in D.C isn’t able to achieve the color transition Emily perfected. Gorgeous salon environment, friendly and attentive staff, reasonable pricing and amazing results. I recently went here for my wedding with two bridesmaids and my mother – everyone was thrilled with their hairstyles, especially me! My hair is very soft/fine and hard to style, but Diane worked with me and created a stunning look – I was so nervous it would fall out but it stayed through the next day! And my makeup by Emily was gorgeous too – 100% satisfied with the entire experience, would definitely recommend.

4 hours later… would give less than 1 Star if possible. Started off on the wrong foot already, waiting 15 minutes in an empty salon for what I can only assume was the hair dresser finishing her lunch? Then took 2 hours to dye my hair the wrong color just to have to apply a toner (which was supposed to take 5-10 minutes but instead took another client and left me for 25-30 min at the sink). That was after she suggested she only half blowdry my hair to save herself time. Was upcharged to pay for the cost of product she used to FIX her mess up. Anyways… $210 and my entire day wasted and I wasn’t even offered a beverage.

I got to West End just for wash, cut, and blow dry and see Josie every time. She does a great job and is always so nice to talk to. I have had many a time when I have told the stylist one thing I wanted and they do the extreme opposite- Josie is not like this. She listens and fully considers your desires.

I moved to Gloucester from LA. I was looking for a high end place because I was scared of ruining my hair. I didn’t care about money but the quality. I thought I found a good place. I was terribly mistaken. Over priced for what they did, more than I’ve ever paid in Los Angeles.& it was only highlights when I asked for an ombré! Then they had me looking like a damn skunk! Do not go. They don’t know what they’re doing.
