I asked for highlights and showed inspiration photos. The hairstylist clearly didn’t understand what I was asking for. My hair has two platinum blonde streaks in the front that are very noticeable (not what I asked or showed!!) The bleach was not toned at all. My hair is dark Brown .The photos show what I got vs what I asked for

I just had the WORST experience of my life at this salon. I went in for a color and trim, and immediately was berated about the “quality” of my hair. It was clear that the hairstylist was inexperienced and lacked common customer service skills. I asked to have my hair lightened and toned. She said she didn’t have time first of all and then kept saying how she felt uncomfortable bleaching my hair. To be clear, I never asked her to bleach my hair. She even stepped away to talk to the salon manager to whine to her about how uncomfortable she felt. I’m a natural blonde. Anytime I’ve gone to a hair salon before, they’ve simply lightened my hair with actual color. That’s what I expected here. Instead I was met with hatefulness while the hairstylist and the salon’s owner picked at my hair and kept telling me how damaged it is. I have NEVER been treated like that, and I’ve never had a hairstylist stare disgustingly at my hair like that. The usual comments from hairstylist are split ends, which I get trimmed off. I walked out before services were performed because I’m not paying to make concessions about my hair color and be treated that poorly. I just moved to Seattle from Oklahoma, and I’m now nervous about returning to another hair salon because I’m scared to be treated that way again. I sincerely worry about the people who come in to this salon with hair insecurities being treated as I was today. It was humiliating and hurtful. Practice common courtesy. This salon is unprofessional and inexperienced. I will never return.

My partner needed a trim and is very happy. She was referred here by a close friend. When in Seattle this is where she will go.

While the staff is… Polite, the service is atrocious. It may have been my stylist/experience specifically, so take this review with a grain of salt. It started when I was called on the phone about three hours before my scheduled appointment. A lady I’d never spoken to on the phone didn’t even bother introducing herself and kust asked if I wanted to come in early. No time specified, nothing. I agreed, recognizing the phone number from my previous call. Upon arrival I was hurriedly rushed to a seat (the establishment was basically empty, I didn’t understand the rush) and we talked about what I wanted while she worked with my hair. In the time alone she spent looking at and inspecting my hair, she must have easily yanked out three strands. I showed her a picture from my old stylist and she rushed to the back with my phone to find a color match. She came back about 10 minutes later saying she couldn’t find it. I shrugged and said the next best color was fine. She said she needed to bleach my hair for that color, and I relented. She applied the bleach far too forcefully, yanking and jerking my hair around like a dog with a chew toy. After about 30 minutes after the bleach was applied, she hurried back to inform me that she’d actually found the dye I originally wanted and rushed me to the washer. My hair came out blonde and ratty, clearly overheated and pulled by force. I could go on and on, but I feel that I’ve made my displeasure clear.

I just had the strangest experience. I had an appointment to get my haircut and colored. I have very curly hair and a very tender head. I asked a stylist if I could brush my hair out myself and she said no. She said it’s a liability in case something happens with the tools. She said nobody asks that. I said it does happen because I just asked you and I’ve been doing it my whole life. She said I’ll do it I get paid to do it that’s what I do. I’m like OK, so I let her “comb” my hair. She actually only picked at the bottom 2 to 3 inches, sort of. Odd. Then we started talking color and she said it’s very complicated. You’ll be fighting this lighter color forever. I tried to understand what she was saying. She asked if I understood I said no, can you say the different way because it’s not making sense to me. What do you mean I’m fighting my color? She said it’s very complicated and I can’t do it for you. That’s not something I know how to do. She said I could cut your hair but I don’t want to color it. I asked if there was another stylist I could speak with about my desired color. Nope nada.
