The receptionist was very friendly, My waxer was Sheer! She was honest, nice and very experienced. I got a Brazilian and a Vanicure. Unfortunately, I had a terrible reaction to either the wax, or the Vanicure products. However, I do not blame them as I am superrrrr sensitive. I loved the experience though, and I hate that the products didn’t agree and I can’t return.

Got a bikini wax here the other day for the very first time. The lady I scheduled with on the phone was sweet and answered all my questions. The appointment itself was on schedule which was great. However, I was unhappy with the experience and the result. When I was roomed I was told that they were out of disposable underwear which was uncomfortable as they only had a tiny drape to cover up with while you’re waiting in the room for the waxer to enter. Did not expect to be fully exposed during procedure (I’d have preferred at least some level of modesty given it was only for a bikini line and not a full Brazilian. As it was my first time I am unsure of the usual practice and whether they allow you to keep the disposables on the entire time so take this with a grain of salt.) After I got home I noted lots of wax chunks still stuck to my skin which I had to painfully remove on my own. The result left me with some spots that bled and were sore, and were a bit patchier than I would have liked. Not satisfied with the service and will not be returning.

I had been coming here for almost a year for my Brazilians and have always felt comfortable and satisfied with my end result. However the past couple of months, I have been forced to reschedule my appointments with new cerologists because my other cerologists continue to leave and they have unfortunately not been able to meet the expectations I had with my previous cerologists. Usually I would have no problem with going with a new person because I always left satisfied but these past couple of months have not been what I was used to. Unfortunately, after my last experience where it was very clear my cerologist was new and inexperienced (I’d prefer not to get into the details but it was pretty bad), I have decided not to go back anymore. I hate to do this because everyone truly is so welcoming and friendly but the actual service has not been up to par with my earlier experiences at Waxing the City. My hope is that this review will help with more critical evaluations or better training for the new cerologists, because I really did love WTC and would love to come back.

I haven’t had a wax since the start of the pandemic back in March and was nervous after going regularly for years. She made me feel comfortable and we had a great conversation during the service. I not only got a wax but added on the hand massage service which was nothing short of a spa treatment. It has been so dry and my hands soaked up the moister and feel great!
