I’ve been to Waxing & the City for several years now. Do they not teach people customer service anymore? The receptionist never greeted me or offered my water like they have done in the past. The clinician Jenn was adequate; she did the job that needed to be done, but not a hair (pun intended) more than that. Never once did Jenn ask me how I was or anything. She was totally silent during the procedure. I tried to engage in conversation, but she was not really forthcoming. I would have liked a little more warmth and conversation from her. Again, she did the job, but it was just okay. If she did a fantastic job, then I wouldn’t have minded her being silent, but since she just did okay, I would have liked at least someone who could carry on a basic conversation and at least pretend to care about her client. This was probably the worst eyebrow wax and eyelash tint I’ve had, I’m sorry to say. I will use Waxing and the City again, but not with her.

What an experience. Walked in and was greeted warmly. My waxer, Jenn, retrieved me promptly from the waiting area with a big welcoming smile. I was a little nervous at first but she immediately put me at ease as she explained in great detail all the steps she was taking throughout the whole process. After my service was completed she recommended several products I should use for after care/preventative care. They all seem to genuinely care about their clients having the best experience possible and it shows through the level of professionalism shown. Great Job, Will definitely be back

I was at waxing the city just recently…they are the epitome of professional and cordial. The front desk person was friendly and helpful as always. My cerologist Jenn was friendly and very welcoming. Her services were painless and quick. I barely experienced any pain or uncomfortable feelings. She kept me engaged in friendly conversations which made the appointment enjoyable amd stimulating. I highly recommend waxing the city and the entire staff for any waxing needs.

I was a loyal customer for years so after they closed the closest store to me, I reluctantly followed them to Garden City, almost a one hour drive, because I liked the woman doing my waxing. When she left them in August, I chose to leave the club and advised them that. They told me I had to submit a form which they now claim they did not receive and have billed me for September and October. They now say they never received the form, and because of 30 day notice, will probably bill me in November. I haven’t been there in almost 3 months and they know it. I’ve tried a lot of waxing places in my lifetime before, specifically for eyebrows (Uni K Wax, European Wax Center, nail salons, etc) and I was never a satisfied client. I felt rushed and never happy with the job. Waxing the City exceeded my expectations; especially for the pandemic world we live in today. The place is so clean that you could eat off the floors. Katherine was my specialist. She was impeccably professional and kind. I really love that she took her time and explained how she would do the wax.

I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff is always so welcoming. They always assist me with questions about products and services. They helped me get the bang for my buck with the monthly program they offer. Now for the service portion of the business, oh my goodness! Go to Christina!
