WANDERLUST SALON & SPA is a trendsetting salon which opened in Tallahassee, FL in 2014. We pride ourselves on bringing out the most beautiful you and ensuring each client’s experience with us is the ultimate beauty experience. All of our stylists have been trained in dry hair cutting design and we specialize in hair color and multiple extension methods. The salon also offers many other specialty services to give each client exactly what their hair needs, including the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments, facials, waxing, lash extensions and makeup for special events.

I have been getting my extensions done there for almost three years now. I recently graduated and am planning to still make the trip up to Tallahassee from South Florida just to get this incredible service. You truly cannot find it anywhere else.

My hairstylist is on maternity leave so I booked this salon and was given a level 3 stylist new to the salon. I asked for Caramel Balayage which I currently had that is 3 months old. Balayage, cut, and blow-dry was 3 hours and $250. When I returned home in my lighting, the caramel color was way too light and even lighter on one side. I discussed with my normal stylist and she told me to have them put on a toner. I was seen again by a Wanderlust stylist for a toner and blow dry. After $300, 4 hours, and 2 trips across town…my hair is basically just brown. My hair trim was good but I wouldn’t return here. Another issue is the salon area has many stylists and the shampoo area is very cramped. I always got the end chair, which meant I had to make sure I didn’t step on/trip over the person next to me because there is no room to walk between chair and wall.

I really debated doing this review but here it goes. I recently moved to Tally and as we all know ladies, looking for a hairdresser is on our top priority! I made an appt. and was greeted poorly. The girls in the front didn’t welcome me as a first timer, they checked me in and literally kept talking to themselves. No beverage was offer, no smiles. NOTHING. Bad first impression. Becca the hairdresser was a diff. story. She was bubbly and truly did an amazing job.

Got extensions here and asked Madi to not place them at my cowlick and she placed one dead center of my cowlick. I feel like everyone is really nice when you’re making the appointment, but when it comes down to the time of appointment they’re not talkative. The stylist I got (Madi) was not very personable and didn’t really engage in conversation when I asked questions about how to care for extensions (which is fine I have Google) or any conversation with me at all just was singing songs along to pandora in my ears, however she kept making conversation with the stylist two chairs over. She also didn’t want to cut the extensions to the length I wanted which was really weird and she didn’t blend the extensions into my bangs so it looked very fake, but I went to Sally’s and got thinning shears to fix it myself. My fiancé later cut the extensions the length I wanted and they looked 10x better and more like my real hair. Just weird vibes. Also very dirty in the salon I think they should clean more or pay someone monthly to clean.

I went a few months back and had an appointment with Hannah. She did absolutely amazing! I get full highlights and I have a lot of hair so it takes a long time. She was so patient throughout and very sweet. I’ve moved from St. Pete to NC and back to FL. Honestly out of the many hairstylists I’ve been to Hannah did the best! I definitely will be coming back in the future!
