Molly and Shannon are amazing at what they do! I go to Molly regularly for my hair appointments, but I also went to her for waxing services and eyelash extensions for my wedding. Molly & Shannon then joined myself and my bridesmaids at our wedding venue the day of and did our hair for us. We all felt so glamorous and beautiful when they were done with our hair! Plus these gals are so sweet and kind. I always look forward to my appointments at their adorable shop in Lawrence. I live in KC, but they’re worth the drive!

I went to Madisyn for lash extensions. I have had my lashes done multiple times in the past, so this was not a new experience for me. She was very quick about responding to get me in for an appointment right away, which is great! I got my lashes done on a Saturday, this last Saturday to be exact. By Thursday (5 days later) my lashes were falling out and I texted Madisyn for advice, asking if I needed to come in for a full sooner than the normal two week time frame. In the past, I’ve always been able to go the full two weeks without needing a fill. She did not respond to me with an answer until Saturday, two days later. Which, I get it she is very busy with clients. I let Madisyn know how I hadn’t gotten them wet or done anything crazy, and how this has never happened to me. I even expressed to her I’m more than willing to PAY for a fill if she could just get me in to fix this. It was hard to get a response back from her. Like I said, I texted her on Thursday, she responded Saturday and finally on Monday (yesterday) Madisyn is telling me “sorry, I don’t have any openings this week to get you in, but I’ll let you know if anyone cancels.” This is not okay. I paid around $200 for a “luxury service” and I expect to be happy with my results. I’m so unhappy. Madisyn did nothing to accommodate my unhappiness or do anything to fix this. I am not joking when I say my left eye, I have a few lashes left, and my right eye has none. This is NOT OKAY! I shouldn’t even need a FILL yet. Now I will need to spend another $200 to have a full set done, elsewhere. I’ve never been more upset in the service I received from someone. I’m such a simple person and easy to please. I am beyond disappointed in the professionalism, and lack there of.

Not only are the COVID-19 regulations followed very professionally, but even outside a pandemic, this is the most legit business you will want to support for women that truly love and are passionate about what they do. They are also the best with beautiful results, fair prices and truth and honesty when suggestions are needed or wanted. Shannon is my gal but while watching the other gals too, I love seeing the Steel Magnolias vibe of Truvys where everyone knows you and are welcomed and loved. I tried about four stylists upon moving to Lawrence and this one only took one visit to know i found my forever home!

Amazing haircuts and super friendly staff. My whole family gets there hair cut there. Christina is especially great with my two boys who hate getting there hair cut. She calms them down and can actually get them to sit down for a real hair cut.
