I have been waiting a while to get a curly specific haircut., i found VMA Curls and scheduled an appointment. Let me tell you, this was by far the BEST hair experience I have had. Suzy is personable, kind, and very informative. When I first sat in her chair I was scared (always am when it comes to getting my hair done), but at the end of it all when she did the reveal on my hair, I LOVED IT! I loved it SO much that I was overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry at just how beautiful my hair is. Suzy exceeded my expectations by far and she is worth every penny. I have found my permanent hair dresser. Thank you Suzy… thank you so much!

I should have come sooner! After embracing my curly hair regular hair cuts were just not cutting it. Suzy made me feel right at ease and really listened to me with what I wanted and what my concerns were. She spent the time educating me on my curls, what to do and how to take care of them. HORRIBLE Hair cut!!!! I was visiting California and read reviews at this salon and thought she could cut my curly hair. Wrong she totally BOTCHED it . I have long hair on one side short hair on the other. And I paid over 200 dollars for that service! Didn’t even cut my hair how I wanted it. The only good thing that came out of that experienced was her introducing me to OLAPLEX. And trying to fit me into her schedule. But I had to PERSONALLY cut my hair all even. I seen other reviews on here with the same issues. In my personal opinion I feel she does not know how to cut ETHNIC curly hair. Only looser curls. From what I’ve seen. Because all the others with my hair type as well that I’ve read were disappointed with results as well. I would’ve went back and asked for a refund if I didn’t have the flight the next day. After I washed my hair I looked like a CLOWN! I will NOT be getting a hair cut from there again. All she did was cut my hair and charged over $200 for a 5 min cut? With NO WASH?!? The WORST HAIRSTYLIST EVER! Yea horrible business DO NOT RECOMMEND! If I could leave a zero star review I would. The ONE star is AN OVER EXAGGERATION of how “well” she cut my hair. Suzy is the curl expert! I got the DevaCut with Olaplex treatment and curl coaching. I grew my natural hair out during the pandemic and I had no idea how to manage it. Suzy walked me through every step of the styling process and gave me tips on how to better take care of my hair. At the end of the appointment she did a big reveal and my hair looked amazing! My hair looked so healthy and even curlier than before. I’m so glad I found Suzy!

Ms Suzy is phenomenal! I was nervous which I’m sure she could tell and allowed me time to get it out what I had concerns with and where I want my hair to be. She was extremely detailed in the techniques and products to avoid and what to use. My hair feels so much lighter and idk who’s more happy, my hair or me! You won’t regret Suzy!!!

I went to Suzy for a curly cut and I absolutely loved the results. The cut wasn’t worth $325 by any means! But it’s super cute and it was what I wanted. I went back to Suzy for a full color because I loved my cut so much. But this was AWFUL. The color came out super uneven and she rushed through it. I have natural hair, so I felt as though she should’ve taken her time. My roots and the back of my head was still my original hair color while the front was colored. I went back for her to fix it and it’s a little bit more color but still the overall color is super uneven. Mind you I paid $350 for this!!!! I decided to get a color consultation from my stylist in LA. And when she looked it, I can tell she was like “this person who colored this didn’t know what they were doing.” My LA stylist told me to find out what color, developer, etc that Suzy used so she can fix my color once the color fades. I contacted Suzy to ask her about the process she used and she refused to tell me. I need my color fixed and I will never come back to VMA curls. Suzy’s prices are too expensive and the color results I got both times was trash. My sticking with my LA stylist and I’ll make that drive to get my hair done RIGHT. My LA stylist services are literally half the price, she really listens to my needs and wants, and her results are always flawless. I wanted to find someone close by because LA is such a hassle but I’m never making this mistake again. Please don’t spend your money here. The services are way too overpriced for subpar results.
